NMAT Exam Structure and Scoring
The NMAT exam is a computer-adaptive objective test, comprising three equally weighted sections: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning. Each section consists of 36 questions, contributing to a total exam duration of 120 minutes. A notable feature of the NMAT exam, as stated by GMAC, is the absence of negative marking, which differentiates it from other entrance exams like the CAT.
Scores for the NMAT range from 36 to a maximum of 360. Unofficial scores are provided immediately after the completion of the exam, with official scores being sent to candidates within 48 hours. GMAC permits limited fields to be edited after form submission until October 21, 2026, including category, native language, education, work experience, and additional information. However, personal details and address cannot be altered once the NMAT form has been submitted.
