NMAT 2026: Register by Oct 10, schedule test by Oct 22

The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) will conclude the NMAT 2026 registration process on October 10, 2026. The test scheduling window for NMAT 2026 will remain active until October 22, 2026.

The NMAT 2026 registration window commenced on August 20, 2026. The NMAT by GMAC exam delivery window is scheduled from November 2, 2026, to December 20, 2026, allowing candidates to take the computer-adaptive test up to three times within this cycle.

NMAT 2026 Application and Examination Fees

The registration fee for the NMAT exam is INR 3,000, subject to an additional 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST), amounting to INR 540. This fee includes the provision for sending scores to five preferred colleges. For candidates wishing to send their scores to additional colleges beyond the initial five, a fee of INR 400 plus taxes will be applicable for each report. The rescheduling fee for the NMAT exam is INR 1,200 plus taxes, while the retake registration fee is INR 3,000 plus taxes.

Candidates are permitted to take the NMAT by GMAC exam a maximum of three times within a testing cycle, including instances of no-shows. A minimum gap of 15 days is mandated between valid attempts. The official scorecard is released within 48 hours of the test, following an immediate unofficial scorecard.

Eligibility Criteria and Exam Structure

To be eligible for NMAT 2026, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. A minimum of 50% marks is required for General, OBC, PWD, NRI, and OCI categories, while SC/ST candidates need a minimum of 45% marks. Final-year students are also eligible to apply, with their admission remaining provisional until the submission of their final mark sheet. There is no specified upper or lower age limit for NMAT 2026, and while work experience is not mandatory, 2-3 years can be an advantage during the selection process.

The NMAT by GMAC exam is a computer-adaptive test comprising three equally weighted sections: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning. Each section contains 36 questions, totaling 108 questions for the entire exam. The total duration of the exam is 120 minutes, and there is no negative marking. Candidates have the flexibility to choose the order in which they attempt the three sections.
