Guidelines for Option Entry and Seat Allotment

Candidates are advised to shortlist B.Ed colleges based on factors such as location, teaching methodology, available seats, and personal preferences. This matters a lot to verify the college name, institution code, and available course or methodology before adding an option. The institution genuinely preferred should be placed at the top of the list, and candidates should include several acceptable colleges to avoid unnecessarily limiting allotment possibilities.

Seat allotment depends on various factors, including the candidate’s rank, applicable reservation rules, seat availability, and the order of submitted preferences. Category and applicable special-category claims must be correctly documented and verified. Children of Ex-Service and In-Service persons who are domicile of Andhra Pradesh will be considered for allotment of seats under the CAP Category.

Application Details and Fee Structure

The registration period for AP EDCET counselling 2026 concluded on October 12, 2026. Submitting an application directly in the CAP portal requires mandatory Aadhaar-based authentication. Candidates have the option to modify their application details by uploading valid proof through a Help-line centre (HLC).

A processing fee of Rs.1250/- is applicable for OC/BC candidates, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates are required to pay Rs.650/-. Candidates whose uploaded documents contain discrepancies will receive an SMS or email requesting corrections and must rectify these identified defects by October 18, 2026.
