AP PGCET 2026 counselling registration ends today, October 11

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) and the Commissionerate of Higher Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, are conducting the second phase of AP PGCET 2026 counselling for admissions to various postgraduate (PG) programs. Today, October 11, 2026, marks the final day for candidates to complete their online registration for this phase.

This counselling process supports admissions to M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., M.Ed., M.P.Ed., M.Lib.I.Sc., MCJ, MFA, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Pharmacy, Pharm.D (PB), and other eligible programs offered by State-funded Universities, their Constituent/Affiliated Colleges, and Private Universities across Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2026-27. The process is managed online through the official admission portal, cap.apcfss.in.

Phase 2 Counselling Schedule and Key Dates

Sri Venkateswara University initiated the AP PGCET 2026 counselling registration for the second phase on October 8, 2026. Following the close of registration today, the certificate verification process for Phase 2 will take place from October 9 to October 15, 2026. Candidates will then be able to exercise their web options from October 12 to October 14, 2026, with an edit window available on October 15, 2026.

The university is scheduled to release the APPGCET second seat allotment list on October 17, 2026. Shortlisted students are required to complete the self-reporting process from October 21 to October 24, 2026. The commencement of classes for Phase 2 admissions is set for October 21, 2026.

Registration Fees and Eligibility Criteria

The registration fee for the AP PGCET 2026 counselling is ₹700 for OC/BC candidates and ₹500 for SC/ST/PH candidates. Candidates must have secured an AP PGCET 2026-27 rank and passed the qualifying examination as prescribed by the respective university to be eligible for admission.

For general category candidates, a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the qualifying examination is required, while BC/SC/ST candidates need a minimum of 45%. Most certificates are verified online, but special categories such as NCC, CAP, Sports, PH, and Anglo-Indian may require physical verification at designated Help Line Centres (HLCs).

Counselling Process and Seat Allotment

The full counselling process includes several stages: Online Registration, Certificate Verification, Web Options Entry, Web Options Modification/Editing, Seat Allotment, Tuition Fee Payment, Online Self-Reporting, and Reporting at the Allotted College. Seat allotment is based on the AP PGCET Rank, reservation policy, local area status, course preferences, and seat availability across the 17 participating state universities.

The AP PGCET 2026 exam was tentatively conducted in the second week of June 2026, with results declared in the last week of June 2026. The academic year for postgraduate programmes officially commenced with classwork starting on September 22, 2026, for Phase 1 admissions, and is scheduled to begin on October 21, 2026, for Phase 2 admissions.
