NMMS West Bengal 2026-27 application correction window closes October 13

The Directorate of School Education, West Bengal, has announced the schedule for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) West Bengal 2026-27, including application dates, exam conduct, answer key releases, and result declaration. The application correction window for candidates whose forms have been unlocked is open until October 13, 2026.

The NMMS scheme aims to provide financial assistance to economically backward, meritorious students to encourage them to continue their education. The application forms were made available on the official website, scholarships.wbsed.gov.in, starting July 28, 2026, with the initial registration period concluding on October 9, 2026.

NMMS West Bengal 2026-27 Application and Examination Schedule

The application process for the NMMS West Bengal 2026-27 began on July 28, 2026, and the last date for initial registration was October 9, 2026. Candidates who need to re-edit and finalize their applications, following an unlock, have until October 13, 2026, to complete this process. All application forms are accessible via the official portal, scholarships.wbsed.gov.in.

The examination for the NMMS West Bengal 2026-27 is slated for December 20, 2026. Students will be able to download their admit cards for the examination in December 2026. The scheme grants selected students an annual financial aid of Rs 12,000.

Answer Key Release and Result Declaration

Following the examination, the Directorate of School Education, West Bengal, will release the provisional answer key for both the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) exams in December 2026. Candidates will have the opportunity to submit feedback or raise objections against this provisional answer key in January 2027.

The final answer key for the NMMS West Bengal 2026-27 is scheduled for release in February 2027. After that, the West Bengal DoE will declare the NMMS WB result in May 2027. A merit list of successful candidates will be published in PDF format on the official website, scholarships.wbsed.gov.in, for students to download.
