JEPBN counselling 2026 round 3 result out: report to colleges by September 30

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) released the Round 3 seat allotment result for JEPBN Counselling 2026 on September 28, 2026. This is the final round of the centralized e-counselling process for admission into Post Basic B.Sc Nursing courses in various colleges and institutes across West Bengal.

Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 3 are required to complete their seat acceptance and physically report to their designated West Bengal Government or private nursing colleges between September 28 and September 30, 2026. This marks the culmination of the three-round e-counselling process for the 2026-27 academic session.

JEPBN 2026 Counselling Schedule

The JEPBN 2026 counselling process, conducted by WBJEEB, commenced with online registration and choice filling for Round 1 on September 10, 2026. The results for Round 1 were declared on September 15, 2026, followed by Round 2 results on September 22, 2026. The current Round 3 concludes the seat allotment phase.

The counselling process involves several stages including online candidate registration, choice filling and preference locking, seat allotment declaration, and seat acceptance fee payment with physical reporting. The non-refundable counselling registration fee is Rs. 500.

Eligibility and Reservation Policies

To be eligible for JEPBN 2026 counselling, candidates must have qualified in the Joint Entrance for Post Basic Nursing (JEPBN) 2026 examination and secured a General Merit Rank (GMR). Additionally, candidates must have passed GNM and obtained registration from a recognized State Nursing Council. West Bengal State Government employees applying for admission must possess at least three years of qualifying uninterrupted or regularized experience in Government service as of April 18, 2026.

Reservation policies are applied according to the extant rules of the Government of West Bengal for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD categories. The WBJEEB has stated that it will not convert or de-reserve any vacant seats earmarked for reserved categories into General (Unreserved) category seats in any round of counselling.

Required Documents for Reporting

Candidates reporting to their allotted colleges must carry a full set of original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies for physical verification. Failure to present the mandatory documents may lead to the cancellation of admission.

The list of mandatory documents includes the JEPBN 2026 Rank Card, Admit Card, GNM Mark Sheets, GNM Diploma Certificate, State Nursing Council Registration Certificate, WB JEPBN 2026 Seat Allotment Letter, Class 10 Certificate, Domicile Certificate, Category Certificate (if applicable), and a Valid Photo ID Proof.

JEPBN 2026 Examination Timeline

The JEPBN 2026 examination, an OMR-based Common Entrance Test for admission into Post Basic B.Sc Nursing courses, was conducted on June 7, 2026, according to the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). The online application process for JEPBN-2026 commenced on April 1, 2026, and concluded on April 18, 2026. This period allowed prospective candidates to register for the entrance examination.

Following the examination, the JEPBN 2026 rank cards were released on August 12, 2026. The publication of these rank cards marked a significant step, enabling candidates to proceed with the e-counselling process, which then began in September 2026 for the 2026-27 academic session.
