WB JEPBN 2026 round 3 choice filling closes today; seat allotment tomorrow

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is set anyway the Round 3 Choice Filling process for the Joint Entrance Post Basic Nursing (JEPBN) counselling today, September 27, 2026, at 11:59 PM. This marks the final opportunity for candidates seeking admission to Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (PBBSN) courses for the academic session 2026-27 to submit and lock their college preferences.

Following the closure of the choice filling window, the WBJEEB will release the Round 3 Seat Allotment Result on September 28, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats in this round will then proceed with seat acceptance and physical reporting to their respective institutions between September 28 and September 30, 2026.

JEPBN 2026 Counselling Schedule and Key Dates

The JEPBN 2026 e-counselling process is being conducted in three rounds. The online application for JEPBN-2026 commenced on April 1, 2026, and concluded on April 18, 2026. The JEPBN 2026 examination was conducted on June 7, 2026, with rank cards released on August 12, 2026. Round 1 seat allotment results were declared on September 15, 2026, followed by Round 2 results on September 22, 2026.

Candidates can access the official portal, wbjeeb.nic.in/jepbn, to register their choices and check their allocation status. The counselling registration fee is Rs. 500, which is non-refundable. Seat allotment is determined by the candidate’s merit position, the number of available seats, and the preferences submitted.

Eligibility and Document Verification Requirements

To be eligible for JEPBN 2026 counselling, candidates must have passed GNM and obtained registration from a recognized State Nursing Council. They must also possess a valid Rank Card with a General Merit Rank (GMR) in JEPBN 2026. Reservation policies are applied according to the extant rules of the Government of West Bengal for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD categories. The Board has stated that it will not convert or de-reserve any vacant seats earmarked for reserved categories into General (Unreserved) category seats in any round of counselling.

West Bengal State Government employees applying for admission must have at least three years of qualifying uninterrupted or regularized experience in Government service as of April 18, 2026. Candidates allotted a seat in Round 3 must undergo a seat acceptance and admission procedure, which includes physical verification of documents. Mandatory documents for physical verification include the JEPBN 2026 Rank Card, Admit Card, GNM Mark Sheets, GNM Diploma Certificate, State Nursing Council Registration Certificate, WB JEPBN 2026 Seat Allotment Letter, Class 10 Certificate, Domicile Certificate, Category Certificate (if applicable), and a Valid Photo ID Proof. Candidates are required to carry original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies for reporting.

Candidates who fail to lock their choices by the 11:59 PM deadline today, September 27, 2026, will have their last saved choices automatically locked by the system. The release of the Round 3 Seat Allotment Result on September 28, 2026, will be a crucial step for all participants. Those who secure a seat must then complete the seat acceptance and reporting process at their designated West Bengal Government or private nursing colleges between September 28 and September 30, 2026, to confirm their admission into Post Basic B.Sc Nursing courses for the 2026-27 academic session.
