WB AYUSH UG round 1 merit list out: choice filling till September 23

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) released the provisional list of candidates and the seat matrix for Round 1 of Under-Graduate (UG) AYUSH Counselling on September 21, 2026, after 5:00 PM. This release is for admission to State Quota seats in Government AYUSH Colleges and State Quota, Management Quota, and All India Quota seats in Private AYUSH Colleges across West Bengal.

Candidates who have been successfully verified are now able to proceed with online choice filling and choice locking. This process commenced on September 21, 2026, after 6:00 PM, and will conclude on September 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Admission to these seats is contingent upon qualification in the NEET-UG 2026 examinations conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

West Bengal UG AYUSH Counselling Schedule

The WBMCC, formed by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, under the chairmanship of the Director of Medical Education, GoWB, conducts online counselling for various medical, dental, and AYUSH courses at the state level. The counselling process considers inter se merit lists across categories including Un-Reserved (UR), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Person with Disability (PwD).

Online registration for Round 1 by qualified NEET UG 2026 candidates took place from September 17, 2026, to September 19, 2026. This was followed by online fee payment during the same period and mandatory pre-choice physical document verification on September 18, 19, and 21, 2026.

National AYUSH Counselling Context

AYUSH Counselling 2026 is an online admission process for undergraduate degree AYUSH courses offered across India. The Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) conducts All India Quota (AIQ) counselling for AYUSH UG seat allocation, covering 15% of seats in Government and Government-Aided colleges and 100% of seats in Central Universities, National Institutes, and Deemed Universities.

The remaining 85% State Quota seats are filled by the counselling body of each state, such as the WBMCC in West Bengal. There are approximately 1,034 AYUSH colleges functioning across India, offering courses including BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, and BNYS. The regulatory bodies for AYUSH Counselling are the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) for BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS, and the National Commission for Homeopathy (NCH) for BHMS.

Next Steps for Candidates

Candidates participating in the West Bengal UG AYUSH Counselling must complete their online choice filling and choice locking by September 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Following this, the Round 1 Provisional Seat Allotment Result is scheduled to be published on September 25, 2026, after 4:00 PM.

Those candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 1 will be required to complete physical reporting and admission at their respective allotted institutes. This process, which includes submitting original documents, paying fees, and completing bond formalities, is scheduled for September 28, 29, and 30, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
