Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) today, September 22, 2026, released the college-wise allotment list for the first phase of counselling for Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) admissions under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2026-27. This allotment impacts eligible non-service and service candidates whose certificates were provisionally verified and included in the final merit list for MDS Admissions 2026-27.

The first phase of web-based counselling was conducted for MDS seats available in affiliated Government and Non-Minority Dental Colleges across Telangana. Candidates who have been allotted a seat will receive an SMS notification on their registered mobile number and are required to check their allotment status on the official KNRUHS website.

MDS Counselling Schedule and Web Options

The notification for exercising web options for the First Phase of MDS Counselling 2026-27 was issued on September 19, 2026. The web options window commenced on September 19, 2026, at 6:00 PM, and concluded on September 21, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Candidates were permitted to exercise an unlimited number of choices during this period.

The final merit list for MDS Admissions under the Competent Authority Quota for AY 2026-27 and the seat matrix for the first phase of counselling were both published on September 19, 2026. Candidates were advised to use a computer with an internet connection for exercising web options, as mobile phones or tablets were not recommended for this process.

After saving their web options, candidates received a six-letter OTP (using capital English letters A to Z) on their registered mobile number. It was mandatory for candidates to take a printout of their saved web options for future reference. Those who did not exercise web options during this for starters phase of counselling will not be eligible for participation in subsequent phases.

Fee Payment and Reporting Procedures

Candidates who have been allotted an MDS seat must pay a non-refundable University Fee of INR 35,000 through the online payment gateway. The allotment order can only be downloaded after successful payment of this fee. The University Fee and any other fees, once paid, are non-refundable under any circumstances.

The tuition fee, which is separate from the University Fee, must be paid directly at the allotted dental college. This fee structure is as notified by the Government of Telangana. Final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the allotted dental college by the admission committee.

Selected candidates are required to report to the Principal of their allotted dental college within the date and time specified in their allotment order. They must submit all required original certificates, relevant bonds, and pay the applicable tuition/college fee to complete the admission process. Failure to report to the allotted college within the stipulated date and time will result in the automatic cancellation of admission and will render the candidate ineligible for subsequent counselling rounds.

KNRUHS has also managed other counselling processes for the 2026-27 academic year. The college-wise allotment list for the first phase of counselling for MBBS admissions under the Competent Authority Quota was released on September 3, 2026. The deadline for MBBS reporting for Round 1 was September 8, 2026.
