This phase is for admissions under the Competent Authority Quota (CQ) for the 2026–27 academic session in government and private non-minority dental colleges affiliated with NTRUHS.

The current phase aims to allocate the remaining PG Dental seats after the conclusion of Phase 1 counselling, allowing eligible candidates to exercise their preferences. The counselling process is based on the candidate’s NEET MDS 2026 rank and merit.

Phase 2 Web Options and Key Dates

The notification for the Phase 2 web options was issued on September 19, 2026. Candidates eligible for MDS and PG Dental Diploma seats can submit their choices online. The deadline for exercising these web options is September 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM.

After Phase 1 counselling, 22 MDS seats were reported vacant. Candidates have no limit on the number of web options they can select during this phase. The counselling process for Postgraduate Dental courses in Andhra Pradesh follows the Meritorious Reserved Candidate (MRC) concept for BC/SC/ST categories to maintain the prescribed 50:50 ratio of Open and Category Reservation.

Fee Structure and Reporting Guidelines

The university fee for seat allotment is ₹25,600, which must be paid online. Candidates who paid this fee during Phase 1 are not required to pay it again for Phase 2. The tuition fee structure for private unaided dental colleges is ₹3,92,783 for Clinical Degree/Diploma courses and ₹3,53,504 for Para Clinical Degree/Diploma courses. This fee structure is in accordance with G.O.Rt.No.786, HM & FW (C1) Department, dated August 29, 2026.

Candidates who were allotted a seat in Phase 1 but did not report or join are eligible to participate in Phase 2. However, the unjoined Phase 1 seat will not be available to them again. If a candidate is upgraded in Phase 2, they must join the newly allotted seat and will forfeit any claim over their previous Phase 1 seat. For Phase-III/Mop-Up counselling, a refundable security deposit of INR 50,000 is required. Failure to report and join a Phase-III seat will result in the forfeiture of this security deposit.

Counselling Process and Next Steps

The counselling process for PG Dental courses in Andhra Pradesh is based on the candidate’s NEET MDS 2026 rank. The Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, is responsible for online counselling for 50% All India Quota Post-Graduate Medical and Dental seats, while NTRUHS manages the state quota seats.

Upon successful allotment, selected candidates must pay the university fee of ₹25,600 online to download their allotment order.
