The Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (Dr NTRUHS), Vijayawada, initiated the Management Quota (MQ) Phase 2 option entry for Andhra Pradesh National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (AP NEET UG) 2026 counselling for MBBS seats. The notification for this phase was issued on October 2, 2026, with candidates required to submit their preferences today, October 3, 2026.

This phase of counselling is designed to allot Management Quota MBBS seats for the 2026-27 academic year across 27 private unaided medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Dr NTRUHS conducts MQ counselling in four phases: Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 (mop-up), and a Stray Vacancy Round, with Phase 2 addressing both sliding movements and fresh allotments from the current merit pool.

Eligibility and Option Submission Process

Eligible candidates for AP NEET UG 2026 Management Quota Phase 2 option entry include those on the final Management Quota merit list dated August 29, 2026, or any subsequent addendum list. Candidates who were allotted a seat in Phase 1 but did not report are also eligible to participate, with the exception of the specific college they previously skipped. However, candidates who used the Free Exit option in Phase 1 are not permitted to submit options in Phase 2 or any subsequent rounds.

A fresh set of web options must be submitted for Phase 2 seat allotment, as Phase 1 preferences will not carry forward. Candidates can access the web options interface at apuhs-ugadmissions.aptonline.in by logging in with their NEET UG 2026 roll number and registered password. The options once exercised are considered final, and no requests for changes will be entertained after the closure of the web options schedule. Muslim minority candidates are eligible to exercise web options for Management quota seats in Un-aided Private Minority Medical colleges.

Seat Allotment and Fee Structure

Dr NTRUHS is responsible for allotting a total of 3,600 MBBS seats under Management Quota across 27 private unaided medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh. This round includes both Category B1 and Category B2 seats. B1 seats are open to candidates from all over the country and Andhra Pradesh, while B2 seats are reserved for Local Candidates of Andhra Pradesh (AU/SVU) and are filled after the exhaustion of B1 seats. Muslim Minority seats are restricted to Muslim Minority candidates, but if such candidates are unavailable, these seats will be allotted to Non-Muslim Minority Candidates in the Stray Vacancy Round.

The interim tuition fee for B-Category (Management Quota Seats) MBBS is Rs 14,52,000 per annum, and for C-Category (NRI Quota Seats) MBBS, it is Rs 43,56,000 per annum. The discontinuation fee for MBBS is Rs 3,00,000. For Competent Authority (Self-financing) seats in new Government Medical Colleges and Private Non-Minority & Minority Professional Institutions (category B1 & B2), the university fee is Rs 35,100. For Competent Authority (NRI Category) seats in the same institutions (category, C (NRI)), the university fee is Rs 70,100.

Previous Counselling Rounds and Key Dates

The AP NEET UG 2026 counselling process has seen several key dates leading up to the current phase. The registration without a late fee for AP NEET UG 2026 was conducted from August 5, 2026, to August 12, 2026, followed by registration with a late fee from August 13, 2026. The final Management Quota merit list was displayed on August 29, 2026.

For Competent Authority Quota seats, the Phase 2 web option entry was live from September 16 to September 18, 2026. The provisional seat allotment for Competent Authority Quota was subsequently released on September 21, 2026. The university fee for Competent Authority Quota Phase 2 is ₹12,600, which is non-refundable but exempted if paid in Phase 1. Candidates who joined their Phase 1 allotted college can opt for better options in Phase 2; if a new seat is allotted, the previous seat is automatically cancelled.
