Kerala NEET MDS round 2 allotment 2026 released: report to colleges by September 30

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, published the Second Phase Centralised Allotment for Post Graduate Dental (MDS) Courses 2026 on September 25, 2026. The allotment list is accessible on the official CEE Kerala website, cee.kerala.gov.in, for candidates seeking admission to MDS programs in government and self-financing dental colleges across the state.

Candidates who have been allotted seats in this phase must complete their fee payment and reporting formalities at their respective institutions by 4 PM on September 30, 2026. This round is designated as the final major allotment window for MDS seats in Kerala for the current academic year.

Second Phase Allotment Details and Reporting Deadline

The Second Phase Allotment list for Post Graduate Dental (MDS) courses 2026 was prepared based on candidates’ NEET MDS 2026 all-India rank, their Kerala State Merit List and Category List, and the web options they submitted online up to 2:00 PM on September 23, 2026. The final allotment list can be downloaded directly as a PDF from the official portal. Candidates included in the state rank list can view their personal allotment status by logging into the PG Dental 2026 – Candidate Portal link on the CEE homepage.

Allotted candidates are required to remit the prescribed fee and report to their assigned colleges between September 26 and September 30, 2026. The deadline for completing these processes is 4 PM on September 30, 2026. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat and all higher options, and such candidates will not be considered for any subsequent rounds of PG Dental allotment in Kerala. College authorities are mandated to approve the list of admitted candidates through the Online Admission Management System (OAMS) by 5:00 PM on September 30, 2026.

Candidates who were allotted a seat during the First Phase and received the same seat again in the Second Phase are not required to complete the joining process a second time. However, the Option Registration Fee paid by a candidate will be forfeited if a seat is allotted in Round 2 and the candidate does not report, does not join, or quits the seat after joining.

Seat Matrix and Fee Structure for MDS Courses

The Second Phase allotment covers seats across government dental colleges, self-financing institutions, and management quota seats in Kerala. For the academic year 2026-27, a total of 70 seats are available in Government Dental Colleges in Kerala. Of these, 35 seats have been surrendered to the Government of India under the All India Quota, leaving 35 seats under the Kerala State Quota in these institutions. The academic duration for the MDS course is three calendar years (36 months).

The fee structure for Government Dental Colleges in 2026 includes a tuition fee of Rs. 52,100 per annum, a miscellaneous fee of Rs. 11,580 per annum, and a refundable caution deposit of Rs. 11,580 per annum. Service candidates are required to remit all applicable fees, irrespective of whether they are applying for service quota seats or general category seats. Candidates from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe communities and Other Eligible Communities (OEC) may be exempted from fee payment under specific conditions.

Eligibility and Application Process

Applicants who have completed or will complete one year of Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship (CRRI) as per Dental Council of India (DCI) Regulations on or before May 31, 2026, are eligible to apply for admission to the MDS courses. The selection and allotment of candidates for State Quota seats in Government Colleges and seats in Self-Financing Dental Colleges in Kerala are made from the rank list prepared by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala, based on the NEET MDS 2026 rank list prepared by the National Board of Examination.

To check their allotment status and complete the necessary steps, candidates should visit the official CEE Kerala website at cee.kerala.gov.in. They must log in to the PG Dental 2026 – Candidate Portal using their application number and password, check their personal allotment status, and download the Second Phase allotment memo. The required fee must be remitted online through the candidate portal, and candidates must carry the allotment memo along with original documents when reporting to the allotted college.

Counselling Schedule and Key Dates

The second phase allotment process followed a specific timeline, with choice filling and locking conducted from September 18 to 23, 2026. A provisional allotment was released on September 24, 2026, leading to the final allotment on September 25, 2026. Candidates have been able to download their allotment letters and report to their allotted colleges from September 26, 2026, with the final deadline set for September 30, 2026.
