TN NEET MDS 2026 round 2 allotment out: report by September 30

The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu, has released the NEET MDS 2026 Round 2 seat allotment result for Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Degree Courses for the academic session 2026-27. Candidates who have been allotted seats must report to their respective dental colleges on or before September 30, 2026.

This Round 2 allotment covers both Government Quota and Management Quota seats, including those left vacant after Round 1 reporting, which closed on September 11, 2026, and seats that became available due to upgrades and withdrawals. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) also concluded its Round 2 counselling, with 1,818 candidates allotted seats.

Tamil Nadu NEET MDS Round 2 Allotment and Reporting

The Round 2 seat allotment result for Tamil Nadu counselling was published by the Selection Committee, DME Tamil Nadu, on September 26, 2026. The provisional allotment order is available for download on the official portal, tnmedicalselection.net, from September 27 to September 30, 2026, until 3:00 PM. Candidates are required to report to their allotted dental college by September 30, 2026, 5:00 PM. Failure to report by this deadline will result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat.

The counselling process for choice filling and allotment was conducted online. The Round 2 vacancy list was released on September 22, 2026. Candidates must carry original certificates and self-attested copies for admission. The registration fee for Round 2 is non-refundable and varies by quota. Candidates who did not register during Round 1 for Tamil Nadu counselling must pay a non-refundable registration fee of INR 1,000 for both Government and Management Quota counselling.

Security Deposits and Quota Details for Tamil Nadu Counselling

Besides the registration fee, candidates are required to pay a refundable security deposit, which varies based on the type of college and quota. For Government Dental Colleges, the security deposit is INR 30,000. For Government Quota seats in Self-Financing Dental Colleges, the deposit is INR 1,00,000. Candidates allotted seats under the Management Quota, including Minority and NRI categories in self-financing dental colleges, must pay a security deposit of INR 2,00,000.

The Round 2 allotment considered candidates within specific rank and NEET marks ranges. For Government Quota, candidates with a general rank from 001 to 1118 and NEET marks from 772 to 272 were included. For Management Quota, the range was general rank 001 to 660 with NEET marks from 665 to 272.

All India Quota NEET MDS Round 2 Counselling by MCC

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, also declared the final seat allotment result for NEET MDS 2026 Round 2 counselling on September 23, 2026. This counselling is for 50% All India Quota Post-Graduate Medical and Dental seats. A total of 1,818 candidates have been allotted seats in this round.

Physical reporting at the allotted colleges for MCC counselling began on September 24, 2026, and will conclude on September 30, 2026. The MCC had released a provisional allotment list on September 22, 2026, before the final declaration. Round 1 provisional seat allotment result for NEET MDS Counselling 2026 was released by MCC on September 1, 2026, with 1,521 candidates provisionally allotted seats, and reporting for Round 1 concluded on September 11, 2026.
