SBI Clerk Prelims: Download admit card by Sep 26-27 for exam

The State Bank of India (SBI) today, 21 September 2026, released the admit cards for the Clerk Prelims Exam 2026 for regular vacancies. Candidates who applied for the Junior Associate posts can now download their call letters from the official SBI careers portal, sbi.bank.in/careers.

This year, 13,01,367 candidates have applied for the SBI Junior Associate post, with the Prelims exam for regular recruitment scheduled for 26 and 27 September 2026. The recruitment drive, advertised under number CRPD/CR/2026-27/17, seeks to fill a total of 11,304 Junior Associate vacancies, comprising 9,766 regular and 1,538 backlog positions.

SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Schedule and Structure

The SBI Clerk Prelims exam for regular recruitment will be conducted on 26 and 27 September 2026. This online, computer-based test will have a duration of 60 minutes and will be held in four shifts each day. The examination consists of 100 objective questions for a total of 100 marks, divided into three sections.

The English Language section includes 30 questions for 30 marks, to be completed in 20 minutes. The Numerical Ability section comprises 35 questions for 35 marks, also with a 20-minute time limit. Similarly, the Reasoning Ability section has 35 questions for 35 marks, to be answered within 20 minutes. Pre-Exam Training (PET) for regular recruitment was conducted from 14 to 18 September 2026.

Admit Card Download and Exam Day Instructions

To download their admit cards, candidates must use their Registration/Roll Number and Password/Date of Birth on the official SBI careers website. The admit card contains essential details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, reporting time, and the allotted exam center. Candidates are advised to report any discrepancies on their admit card to SBI through official recruitment/helpdesk channels.

On the day of the examination, candidates are required to carry a hard copy of their admit card, a valid original ID proof along with a photocopy, and two passport-size photographs to the exam center. Accepted valid ID proofs include Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License. Candidates should ensure they reach the examination center before the specified reporting time.

Recruitment Process and Key Dates

The SBI Clerk 2026 recruitment process involves a three-stage selection procedure: the Prelims Exam, the Mains Exam, and a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The application period for regular recruitment was from 11 August 2026 to 31 August 2026. The SBI Clerk Mains exam for regular recruitment is tentatively scheduled for November 2026.

For a special recruitment drive, the Prelims Admit Card was released on 9 September 2026, and the exam was held on 16 September 2026. Pre-Exam Training materials for this special drive were available from 5 September 2026. The Mains exam for the special recruitment drive is expected in October/November 2026.
