TG LAWCET 2026 final phase provisional list out: report to colleges by 29 September

The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), through the Convener, TG CETs (Other) Admissions, released the provisional selection list for the final phase of web counselling for admission into 3-year and 5-year LL.B. Regular Courses for the academic year 2026-2027. The list was published on September 25, 2026, on the official website.

Candidates who secured an allotment in this final phase are required to report to their respective colleges for verification of original certificates and payment of tuition fees by September 29, 2026. This phase marks the conclusion of the counselling process for the 2026-27 academic year, following Phase 1 in July and Phase 2 in August.

Final Phase Counselling Schedule and Fees

The online registration, payment, and certificate uploading for new candidates for the final phase commenced from September 15, 2026, to September 17, 2026. The verified list of eligible candidates was displayed on September 18, 2026, allowing for a window for corrections. Candidates exercised web options for this phase from September 19, 2026, to September 21, 2026, with an editing option available on September 21, 2026.

A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 800 was required for OC/BC candidates and Rs. 500 for SC/ST candidates for registration. Also, a Telangana Haritha Nidhi (Telangana Green Fund) amount of Rs 100 will be collected from students who secured seats in Professional Courses along with the tuition fee. Failure to pay the prescribed tuition fee within the stipulated schedule would result in the automatic cancellation of the provisionally allotted seat.

Eligibility and Reporting Guidelines

Physical reporting at the allotted college is mandatory for all candidates in every phase of counselling. Candidates who received an allotment in the Second Phase but did not report to the allotted college were not eligible to hand over options in the Final Phase of Counselling. Similarly, candidates who cancelled their seats in Phases I & II were also ineligible to participate in this final round. It was mandatory to exercise options afresh for each phase, as options from the first and second phases were not considered for the final phase.

Candidates securing a seat in the Final Phase would lose their claim on any previously allotted college and must report to the new college by downloading the allotment letter on or prior to the specified date. Dropouts or cancellations are not permitted after the Final Phase Allotments. For the 3-year LL.B. course, candidates must have passed any Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks for OC/BC, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST. For the 5-year LL.B. course, candidates must have passed the two-year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with the same aggregate mark percentages for respective categories.

Specific Eligibility Conditions and Document Requirements

Candidates who obtained a degree through a single sitting without undergoing a three-year course or through an open university directly without basic qualification are not eligible. The Telangana Council of Higher Education stated that the Hon’ble High Court of Telangana, in its judgment dated December 28, 2021, held that B.A. External Graduates of Osmania University are not eligible for admission into the 3-year L.L.B. course.

OBC candidates were required to submit their OBC certificate issued by the competent authority to support the 42% aggregate marks in graduation. EWS Certificates, if applicable, needed to be issued by MRO/Tahsildar and valid for the year 2026-27. Muslim and Christian Minority Candidates were instructed to upload their “TC” containing Minority status or a Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution. Web options could only be accessed through desktops or laptops; mobile phones or tabs were not supported.

Final Round Cut-Off Marks Overview

The cut-off marks for the final round of TG LAWCET 2026 admissions varied across colleges and categories. For instance, at University College of Law, Osmania University, Hyderabad, the closing rank for BA LLB (Open category) was 35, while for OBC, it was 131. Pendekanti Law College, Hyderabad, saw a closing rank of 185 for BA LLB (Open category). The cut-offs reflect factors such as seat intake, candidate category, exam difficulty, and applicant performance.
