Galgotias University revised mid-term odd semester 2026 date sheet released: exams start October 21

Galgotias University today, October 21, 2026, confirmed the commencement of its Mid-Term Examinations for the Odd Semester (Fall Semester 2026) following the release of a revised date sheet. The university issued Version 3.0 of the examination schedule on October 18, 2026, aiming to address difficulties previously encountered by students.

This latest revision is intended to ensure that no student faces inconvenience, as stated in the university’s notification. The examinations are set to wrap up by October 31, 2026, aligning with the academic calendar for the Odd Semester AY 2026-27 for all students, including first-year and second-year onwards.

Addressing Student Difficulties with Revised Schedule

The decision to release a third version of the date sheet stems from issues reported by students regarding the previous schedules. Galgotias University had initially released date sheets on October 14, 2026, and after that on October 17, 2026. Says a university notification, these earlier versions caused difficulties for students in appearing for examinations.

The Controller of Examinations (COE) of Galgotias University issued the notification, stating, “In view of the difficulties faced by students in appearing for examinations as per the date sheets released on 14 October 2026 and 17 October 2026, the University is further revising the date sheet, to ensure no student is inconvenienced.” The university management reportedly considered these issues to support the smooth conduct and timely completion of the Mid-Term Examinations.

Examination Structure and Admit Card Information

The Mid-Term Examinations for the Odd Semester (Fall Semester 2026) will be conducted for 50 marks, unless otherwise approved. Each examination will have a duration of 90 minutes, with exceptions for council-governed programmes where specific specifications may apply. The revised schedule is applicable to all Schools and programmes within the university.

Admit cards for the examinations became available on the iCloud portal after October 19, 2026, 02:00 PM onwards. The university has indicated that school-wise activation of admit cards will occur, with notifications shared across the Learning Management System (LMS), WhatsApp CR groups, and iCloud. Students are advised to download their admit cards from the iCloud portal.

Academic Calendar and Key Milestones

The academic calendar for the Odd Semester AY 2026-27 outlines the Mid-Term Examination period from October 21-31, 2026, for both first-year and second-year onwards students. This aligns with the revised examination schedule. The official source for examination announcements is the university’s website, galgotiasuniversity.edu.in/p/announcements/examination-announcement.

The academic calendar also details other significant milestones for students.
