TG LAWCET round 3 allotment list out: report to colleges by 29 September 2026

The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), through the Convener, TG CETs (Other) Admissions, has released the provisional selection list for the final phase of web counselling for admission into 3-year and 5-year LL.B. Regular Courses for the academic year 2026-2027. The list of provisionally selected candidates was made available college-wise on the official website on September 25, 2026.

This marks the conclusion of the counselling process for the 2026-27 academic year, following Phase 1 in July and Phase 2 in August. Candidates who secured an allotment in this final phase are required to report to their respective colleges for verification of original certificates and payment of tuition fees by September 29, 2026.

Final Phase Counselling Schedule and Eligibility

The final phase web counselling process commenced with online registration, payment, and certificate uploading for new candidates from September 15, 2026, to September 17, 2026. The verified list of eligible candidates was displayed on September 18, 2026, with a window for corrections. Candidates exercised web options for this phase from September 19, 2026, to September 21, 2026, with an editing option available on September 21, 2026.

Certain candidates were deemed ineligible for this final phase. According to the Telangana Council of Higher Education, candidates who received an allotment in the Second Phase but did not report to the allotted college were not eligible to give options in the Final Phase of Counselling. Similarly, candidates who cancelled their seats in Phases I & II were also ineligible to participate in this final round. It was mandatory to exercise options afresh for each phase, as options from the first and second phases were not considered for the final phase.

Fee Structure and Mandatory Reporting

A non-refundable processing fee was collected during the registration process. OC/BC candidates paid Rs. 800.00, while SC/ST candidates paid Rs. 500.00. This fee was payable online through credit cards, debit cards, or internet banking, in favour of ‘Secretary, TGCHE’. Also, a Telangana Haritha Nidhi (Telangana Green Fund) amount of Rs 100/- will be collected from students who secured seats in Professional Courses along with the tuition fee, as per G.O. Ms No 17; dated February 18, 2022.

The Telangana Council of Higher Education emphasized that physical reporting of the candidate at the allotted college is mandatory in every phase. Failure to pay the prescribed tuition fee within the stipulated schedule would result in the automatic cancellation of the provisionally allotted seat. Also, candidates securing a seat in the Final Phase would lose their claim on any previously allotted college and must report to the new college by downloading the allotment letter on or prior the specified date. Dropouts or cancellations are not permitted after the Final Phase Allotments.

Academic Eligibility and Document Requirements

For the 3-year LL.B. course, candidates must have passed any Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks for the general category (OC/BC), 42% for OBC Category, and 40% for SC/ST. For the 5-year LL.B. course, candidates must have passed the two-year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with the same aggregate mark percentages for respective categories.

The Telangana Council of Higher Education clarified that candidates who obtained a degree through a single sitting without undergoing a three-year course or through an open university directly without basic qualification are not eligible. The Hon’ble High Court of Telangana, in its judgment dated December 28, 2021, held that B.A. External Graduates of Osmania University are not eligible for admission into the 3-year L.L.B. course. OBC candidates were required to submit their OBC certificate issued by the competent authority to support the 42% aggregate marks in graduation. EWS Certificates, if applicable, needed to be issued by MRO/Tahsildar and valid for the year 2026-27. Muslim and Christian Minority Candidates were instructed to upload their “TC” containing Minority status or a Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution. Web options could only be accessed through desktops or laptops, with mobile phones or tabs not being supported for this process.
