Maharashtra AYUSH, BPharm 2026 round 1 seat allotment released: report to college by 1 October

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell announced the Round 1 seat allotment results for Maharashtra AYUSH, BPharm, and PharmD 2026 on September 27, 2026. This initial round of admissions for the academic session 2026–27 saw a total of 38,658 seats allotted across various courses.

Candidates who have been allotted seats in AYUSH courses (BAMS, BHMS, BUMS) are required to report to their respective colleges between September 28 and October 1, 2026, by 5:30 PM. For BPharm and PharmD candidates, the deadline to confirm their CAP Round 1 allotment is September 30, 2026.

AYUSH Round 1 Allotment Details and Reporting

The CAP Round 1 selection list, released on September 27, 2026, identified 1,714 candidates who received a college allotment. The provisional selection list PDF, spanning 98 pages, includes 3,714 candidates in total, with 2,000 candidates marked as “Choice Not Available”. Allotments also covered 146 colleges under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) category.

Candidates reporting to their allotted colleges must submit original documents and the fee demand draft. Cheque payments are permitted on bank holidays but must be replaced with a demand draft on the next working day. The Director of AYUSH, Mumbai, serves as the nodal officer for BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS admissions.

Counselling Process and Fee Structure

The Maharashtra AYUSH Counselling 2026 is conducted by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell for admission to BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS courses for the academic session 2026–27. This process is based on the NEET UG 2026 merit, with the NEET UG 2026 examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 21, 2026, and its results declared on July 16, 2026.

The application fees for counselling varied based on the quota. The application fee for State Quota – BAMS/BHMS/BUMS was ₹1,000, while for Institutional Quota – BAMS/BHMS/BUMS, it was ₹5,000. Candidates applying for both State and Institutional Quota paid ₹6,000. These application fees are non-refundable. Institutional Quota seats are applicable to BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS in unaided private/minority colleges, with admissions based on NEET UG 2026 rank on an All India basis, including eligible NRI, OCI, and OMS candidates.

Key Dates and Next Steps for Candidates

The counselling schedule for Group B, which includes AYUSH courses, involved several stages leading up to the Round 1 allotment. Online registration and application submission took place from September 14 to September 18, 2026. The final merit list for Group B was released on September 24, 2026, followed by choice filling from September 24 to September 26, 2026.

Candidates who did not secure their preferred college in Round 1 are advised to monitor the official website, medical2026.mahacet.org, for updates regarding CAP Round 2 and subsequent counselling rounds. More counselling rounds will be held later for the remaining vacant seats. For 15% All India Quota AYUSH seats, counselling is conducted through the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC).
