Maharashtra AYUSH 15% AIQ round 1 choice filling extended: submit preferences by 26 September

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has extended the online preference (choice filling) process for the first round of counselling under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in Private Unaided and Minority Ayurveda (BAMS), Homoeopathy (BHMS), and Unani (BUMS) colleges. The new deadline for submitting and locking choices is 10 AM on September 26, 2026.

This extension provides an opportunity for NEET UG qualified students who have not yet submitted or locked their preferences for private AYUSH colleges in Maharashtra to complete the process. The counselling event covers BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS courses for the academic year 2026-27, with candidates required to enter their choices on the official portal, medical2026.mahacet.org.

Revised CAP Round 1 Schedule and Key Dates

Following the extension of the choice filling window, the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has outlined the subsequent dates for CAP Round 1. The selection list for this round is now scheduled to be displayed on September 26, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats will then proceed to physical joining at their respective colleges.

The window for physical joining at the allotted colleges is from September 27 to October 1, 2026, until 5:30 PM. In addition, candidates have the option to withdraw from their CAP Round 1 seats without incurring a penalty of fee and still be eligible to participate in Round 2 until October 3, 2026, up to 5:30 PM. The schedule for subsequent CAP rounds for BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS will be announced separately by the State Common Entrance Test Cell.

Choice Filling Guidelines and Previous Schedule

Candidates are advised by the State Common Entrance Test Cell to put their highest-priority college first when filling choices, as the system will automatically allocate the best possible option based on their merit rank. options cannot be edited or rearranged after submission. To increase their chances of admission, candidates are encouraged to choose as many options as possible.

The registration process for Group B and C courses, which includes BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS, was conducted from September 14 to 18, 2026. Fee payment for registration was also completed within this period, until 8:00 PM on September 18, 2026, with document uploads concluding at 10:00 PM on the same day. Document verification took place from September 15 to 19, 2026, and the Provisional Merit List for Group B and C was published on September 20, 2026. Grievance submission was open from September 21 to 22, 2026, leading to the release of the Final Merit List and Seat Matrix for Group B on September 24, 2026.
