UGMAC 2026 special stray round counselling schedule released: 322 MBBS, BDS seats vacant

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) today, November 4, 2026, released the Special Stray Round counselling schedule for the Under Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (UGMAC) 2026. This round, notified through advisory numbers BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/18 and BCECEB(UGMAC)-2026/19, is the final counselling phase for the 2026 admission cycle.

The Special Stray Round has been initiated to fill approximately 322 vacant seats across state medical, dental, and allied science colleges in Bihar. These seats remained unoccupied after the completion of the regular Stray Vacancy Round on October 31, 2026, and cover admission to MBBS, BDS, Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc and AH), and Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) programmes.

Eligibility and Application Process for the Special Stray Round

Only candidates who previously registered for UGMAC 2026 and have not yet been allotted or admitted to any course are eligible to participate in this Special Stray Round. Applicants must also meet the NEET UG 2026 qualifying criteria as stipulated by the National Medical Commission and fulfil the Bihar state domicile condition where applicable. Candidates who were previously admitted and are holding a seat under an earlier round may need to resign from that allotment before they can participate in this final round.

The registration process for the Special Stray Round is conducted entirely online via the official BCECEB portal, bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. Eligible candidates are required to log in using their UGMAC 2026 credentials and complete fresh choice filling. A non-refundable counselling fee is payable through online modes such as net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.

Required Documents for Admission

Candidates who are provisionally allotted a seat in the Special Stray Round will need to present a specific set of documents for verification during the admission process. These documents are crucial for confirming eligibility and securing the allotted seat.

The list of required documents includes the UGMAC 2026 rank card and allotment order, NEET UG 2026 scorecard and admit card, Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates, and a Bihar domicile certificate if applicable. Also, candidates must provide a Caste or EWS certificate if applicable, an Aadhaar card or other valid photo identity proof, and recent passport-size photographs.

Previous Stray Vacancy Round Schedule

This Special Stray Round follows the completion of the regular Stray Vacancy Round for UGMAC 2026. The provisional seat allotment result for the Stray Vacancy Round was released on October 28, 2026. Candidates were able to download their allotment orders from October 28 to October 31, 2026.

Document verification and admission for the Stray Vacancy Round took place from October 29 to October 31, 2026. The notification for this round was initially sent on October 18, 2026, with registration commencing on October 19, 2026. The deadline for registration and fee payment for the Stray Vacancy Round was October 21, 2026.
