WBJEE 2026 decentralised counselling revised schedule out: check dates by 25 September

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) today, 23 September 2026, published a revised schedule for the Decentralised Counselling of WBJEE-2026. This updated schedule outlines the remaining activities for Phase 1 and the complete schedule for Phase 2 of the counselling process.

The counselling is for admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, and Pharmacy across West Bengal. There are 33,857 vacant seats available for counselling. The revised schedule was released due to unavoidable circumstances, including technical issues encountered during registration.

Revised Schedule for Decentralised Counselling

The WBJEEB has detailed the revised timeline for both phases of the decentralised counselling. Phase 1 Round 2 activities commenced on 13 September 2026. The revised schedule now provides clarity on the subsequent steps, including the publication of new allocation lists and physical document verification.

Candidates with valid WBJEE ranks are eligible to participate. In addition, JEE Main ranks and Class 12 marks are accepted for admission to eligible institutes. The counselling process involves online registration, choice filling, payment of a seat acceptance fee, and mandatory physical document verification at the allotted institutes.

Key Dates and Candidate Actions

The revised schedule indicates that the Decentralised Phase-2/Round-2 allotment result has been published today, 23 September 2026. Candidates who have been allocated seats in this round are required to complete provisional admission by paying the seat acceptance fee and obtaining a system-generated ‘Provisional Admission Receipt’ between 4:00 pm on 23 September 2026 and 11:59 pm on 24 September 2026.

Physical document verification and admission confirmation at the institute for Phase 2 are scheduled from 10:00 am on 24 September 2026 to 6:00 pm on 25 September 2026. A notice regarding the registration period for Phase 1 of the Decentralised Counselling of WBJEE-2026 has also been published by the WBJEEB.
