MAKAUT RPE 2026 results released today for PhD coursework

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal, today, 23 September 2026, released the results for its Research and Publication Ethics (RPE) 2026 examination. This course is a mandatory component for PhD coursework, conducted in alignment with the guidelines set by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The RPE 2026 course was delivered in an online/hybrid format, with sessions led by distinguished professors from both within and outside MAKAUT. The examination, however, was conducted physically at the university’s Haringhata Campus.

RPE 2026 Course Structure and Eligibility

The Research and Publication Ethics (RPE) 2026 course was specifically designed for eligible PhD candidates who had already enrolled and received their Enrollment Certificates. The course aimed to equip research scholars with essential knowledge in ethical research practices and publication standards, aligning with the broader academic framework established by the UGC for doctoral studies.

Candidates interested in the RPE 2026 course were required to pay a non-refundable course fee of Rs. 1,000. The payment was supported through UNION BANK OF INDIA, with the account name ‘WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY’, account number 510101005327120, and IFSC UBIN0905941, at the SALT LAKE CITY branch.

Key Dates and Examination Process

The RPE 2026 course followed a structured schedule, beginning with the notice upload on 7 July 2026. The application window closed on 22 July 2026, followed by the fee payment deadline on 23 July 2026. Application scrutiny took place from 28 to 29 July 2026, and the list of eligible candidates was published on 31 July 2026. The course itself ran from 3 August to 14 August 2026, culminating in a physical examination on 7 September 2026 (Sunday) at the MAKAUT Haringhata Campus.

Assessment and Grading System

All courses at MAKAUT, including the RPE 2026, are assessed out of a total of 100 marks. This includes 70 marks allocated for the end-semester examination and 30 marks for internal assessments. The internal assessment component comprises 25 marks for Continuous Assessment (CA), based on the best two out of four assessments, and 5 marks for attendance.

MAKAUT follows a 10-point grading scale under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). A candidate must secure a minimum of 40% marks to pass the course, corresponding to a ‘D’ grade with 5 grade points. Grades range from ‘O’ (Outstanding) for 90-100% marks to ‘F’ (Fail) for marks below 40%.
