 The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) have officially released the Round 4 Seat Allotment Result 2026 today, August 18, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 can now check their seat allotment status and offer letters directly on the official admission portal: iiseradmission.in.

Students who have been allotted a seat in this round must act quickly. The deadline to accept the offer, submit their willingness, and pay the mandatory Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) is August 20, 2026.

How to Check Your IISER Round 4 Seat Allotment

1. Visit the official IISER admissions website: iiseradmission.in.

2. Click on the link that says “IISER Admissions 2026 Seat Allotment Link” or log in through the application portal.

3. Enter your Application Number / User ID and Password.

4. Go to the offer section to view your allotted campus and course details.

5. Download your offer letter for future reference.

Important Choices After Seat Allotment

Candidates who receive a seat offer in Round 4 must choose one of the following options on the portal:

• Accept & Freeze: Select this if you are happy with the allotted campus and course and do not wish to participate in future rounds.

• Accept & Float: Select this if you accept the currently allotted seat as a safety net but want to upgrade to a higher-preference campus in Round 5.

• Withdraw: Candidates can choose to opt out of the counselling process. However, once you withdraw, you cannot rejoin subsequent rounds.

Note: Paying the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) before August 20 is mandatory to hold your seat or to stay eligible for an upgrade in Round 5. Candidates who fail to pay the fee by the deadline will automatically lose their offered seat.

Opening and closing ranks vary based on:

• Candidate category (General, OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST, PwD).

• Total available seats per campus.

• Student preference choices submitted during counselling.

Premier campuses like IISER Pune and IISER Kolkata closed at higher ranks in earlier rounds, while campuses like IISER Berhampur, IISER Tirupati, and IISER Thiruvananthapuram continue to offer openings into Round 4 and Round 5.
