CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026 Tomorrow: Timings, Practical Schedule, and Crucial Guidelines

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to conduct the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 tomorrow, July 28, 2026, across designated examination centres nationwide. Besides, Class 12 Supplementary practical exams will be conducted from July 29, 2026 to August 4, 2026. Designed as a crucial opportunity for students, the supplementary session allows candidates in the compartment category to clear subjects they could not pass during the main board examinations held earlier this year. Additionally, students seeking to improve their performance in a single eligible subject are also appearing for tomorrow’s examination.

Approximately 1.63 lakh students were placed in the compartment category following the declaration of the main Class 12 board results. Unlike Class 10 examinations which span multiple days, CBSE conducts all Class 12 theory supplementary papers on a single day.

CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam Schedule and Shift Timings

The theory examination will take place in dedicated shifts depending on the duration and nature of the subject. Students must verify their exact paper timing on their admit cards before heading to the examination venue.

Note: Candidates will receive an extra 15 minutes of reading time before the writing period commences (from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM for morning shifts) to carefully review the question paper.

Essential Exam Day Guidelines

CBSE has issued strict operational instructions to maintain examination integrity across all centres:

• Mandatory Documentation: Candidates must bring a hard copy of their official CBSE Admit Card signed and stamped by their school principal or centre superintendent, along with a valid photo identity card. Entry will not be permitted without these documents.

• Reporting Time: Students are advised to reach their allotted examination centres at least 30 to 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Gates will close strictly at the designated cutoff.

• Banned Items: Electronic devices, including mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth earphones, and programmable calculators, are strictly prohibited inside the premises. Possession of unauthorized materials will invite action under the Unfair Means (UFM) regulations.

• Stationery & Uniform: Students must carry allowed stationery inside transparent pouches. Regular students are required to wear their official school uniform to the examination hall.

CBSE 12th Supplementary Practical Examination Details

Following the conclusion of the theory paper, CBSE will conduct practical examinations for eligible compartment candidates:

• Schedule: Supplementary practical examinations will be held from July 29 to August 4, 2026.

• Category Rules:

  • Repeat in Practical (RP): Students who failed only the practical component do not need to re-appear for the theory exam; their earlier theory score remains valid.

  • Repeat in Both (RB): Candidates marked as ‘RB’ must appear for both the theory examination tomorrow and the subsequent practical session.

• Venues: Regular candidates will take practical exams at their home schools, while private candidates will report to their assigned theory examination centres.

How Candidates Access Admit Cards

1. Regular Students: School authorities download admit cards via the official CBSE Pariksha Sangam portal. Students must collect physically signed and stamped hall tickets directly from their school administration.

2. Private Candidates: Private examinees must download their hall tickets from the official portal apps.cbseit.in/comptt and get them verified by the principal of their last-attended school or the allotted centre superintendent.

The results for the Class 12 supplementary examinations are tentatively expected to be announced by mid-August 2026, enabling successful candidates to proceed with higher education admissions without losing an academic year.
