UP, TN, Maharashtra, MP, Goa board exam dates 2027 out; CBSE schedule awaited

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) and the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) are among several state boards that have released the timetables for their Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for 2027. These announcements, made on October 23, 2026, aim to inform students across Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Goa about the upcoming examination schedules.

Students in these states are now aware of the specific dates for their theory papers, with examinations generally commencing in February and concluding by April 2027. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), however, has not yet published its official date sheet for the 2027 board examinations, affecting approximately 45 lakh students across India and abroad.

Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu Board Exam Schedules

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has scheduled its Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations from February 5 to February 24, 2027. Examinations will be conducted in two shifts: a morning shift from 8:30 am to 11:45 am for Class 10, and an afternoon shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm for Class 12. Both Class 10 and Class 12 examinations will begin with the Hindi paper on February 5, 2027. The final Class 10 UP Board examination, Agriculture, is set for February 24, 2027, while Class 12 examinations will conclude with Computer and Sanskrit on the same date. Students will receive 15 minutes at the start of each session to read the question paper.

In Tamil Nadu, the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) has announced that the TN 10th public exams 2027 will take place from March 17 to April 12, 2027. The TN HSC 12th exams 2027 are scheduled earlier, from March 3 to March 29, 2027.

Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka Exam Dates

The Maharashtra Board has released its schedule, with HSC exams slated from February 8 to March 16, 2027. The Maharashtra SSC exams will follow, from February 15 to March 11, 2027. The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has published its timetable, indicating that Class 10 and 12 theory papers will be held from February 24, 2027, to March 18, 2027. Specifically, MPBSE 12th exam dates for theory papers are from February 17, 2027, to March 19, 2027. Karnataka SSLC Exam 1 is scheduled from March 22 to April 5, 2027, with Karnataka SSLC Exam 2 scheduled from May 24 to 31, 2027.

Goa Board Examination Schedule

The Goa Board has also announced its examination dates for HSSC and SSC students. Goa Board HSSC exams will commence on February 8, 2027, with English and Marathi languages. The SSC exams will start on March 15, 2027, beginning with Data Processing. All Goa Board SSC and HSSC board examinations will be conducted in a single shift, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

CBSE Board Exam 2027 Updates and Future Changes

As of October 23, 2026, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not officially released its Class 10 and 12 date sheet for the 2027 examinations. For the 2026 board examinations, the tentative date sheet was released on September 24, 2025, with the final timetable published on October 30, 2025. This pattern is not a confirmed release calendar for 2027.

The CBSE 2026-27 academic session is set to introduce significant changes, including two sets of board examinations for eligible students. The for starters CBSE examination will be mandatory, while the second, an improvement examination, will be optional. The mandatory first CBSE Class 10 board examination is planned for February-March 2027. CBSE has already published the 2026-27 curriculum and sample question papers for Classes 10 and 12 on its official website, cbse.gov.in.
