CBSE Board Exam 2027 Update

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not yet announced the subject-wise timetable, examination window, or final PDF for the Class 12 board exams as of September 27, 2026. However, the CBSE’s official LOC circular dated September 17, 2026, confirmed the candidate-list process for the 2027 Class 10 and Class 12 main examinations. The first mandatory board examination for Class 10 is planned for February-March 2027, and the board’s two-board-examination policy for Class 10 continues, allowing a second examination for eligible improvement and compartment candidates.

The CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exam 2027 timetable is anticipated to be published on cbse.gov.in in October. CBSE theory examinations for both Class 10 and Class 12 are scheduled to be conducted in a single shift. Students will be allotted an extra 15 minutes prior 10:30 AM to read through the question papers. The official CBSE date sheet PDF will contain the exact exam date and day for each subject, subject names and codes, paper timings and duration, and essential exam-day instructions. The CBSE has already published the 2026-27 curriculum and sample question papers for Classes 10 and 12.

Guidance for Students

Students awaiting date sheets from boards such as the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP) for AP Intermediate and the Rajasthan Board (RBSE) should regularly check their respective official websites for updates. For the 2026 examinations, CBSE published a tentative schedule on September 24, 2025, and a final schedule on October 30, 2025. Historically, CBSE releases board exam date sheets for both Class 10 and Class 12 in January, with practical examinations often commencing in December or January.

To access the timetables, students are advised to visit the official website of their education board, navigate to the examination or latest notifications section, and click on the link for the Class 10 or Class 12 timetable 2027. After opening the PDF, students should check the subject-wise examination dates and timings, then download and save the PDF for future reference. You can’t ignore for students to verify whether their board has released a provisional schedule or a final date sheet and to cross-check their subject codes after downloading the official date sheet PDF to structure their revision plan based on the gap days between exams.
