UP, TN 10th, 12th board exam dates out; CBSE, Maharashtra, MP schedules for 2027

Several state education boards across India have released their timetables for the Class 10th and 12th board examinations for the 2026-27 academic session. Boards including the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP), Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), and Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) have published their schedules as of October 23, 2026.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has indicated that its Class 10 and 12 examinations will commence in February 2027, with over 45 lakh students expected to participate. Other boards, such as the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh (BSEAP) and Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE), are yet to announce their detailed schedules, with some expected in the coming months.

State Board Exam Schedules for 2027

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced that the UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 examinations will be held from February 5 to February 24, 2027. These examinations will be conducted in two shifts: from 8:30 am to 11:45 am and from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. In Tamil Nadu, the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) has scheduled the TN 10th public exams from March 17 to April 12, 2027, with practical exams preceding them from February 19 to February 26, 2027. The TN HSC 12th exams are slated for March 3 to March 29, 2027, with practicals from February 8 to February 18, 2027.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has set its HSC exams from February 8 to March 16, 2027, and SSC exams from February 15 to March 11, 2027. For Madhya Pradesh, the MPBSE Class 10 exams are scheduled from February 24 to March 18, 2027, and Class 12 exams from February 17 to March 19, 2027. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) will conduct its Madhyamik Routine 2027 exams from February 15 to February 25, 2027. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) SSC Board Time Table 2027 is from February 25 to March 17, 2027. The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) SSLC Exam Time Table 2027 is notably earlier, from December 4 to December 16, 2026.

Karnataka and CBSE Examination Details

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has outlined its SSLC Exam 1 from March 22 to April 5, 2027, with a second examination, SSLC Exam 2, scheduled from May 24 to May 31, 2027. For Karnataka 2nd PUC, Exam 1 is planned from February 27 to March 17, 2027, and Exam 2 from May 3 to May 15, 2027.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that Class 10 board theory exams are scheduled to commence in February 2027 and conclude by March 2027. Class 12 examinations, spanning Science, Commerce, and Arts/Humanities streams, are expected from February to April 2027. Practical examinations for most affiliated schools are generally held before the theory examinations, with January–February 2027 as an indicative period. CBSE Class 10 daily exam timing for major papers is 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM IST. The board has also introduced two Class 10 board examinations from 2026, with the first being mandatory and the second for improvement, expected in May 2027. CBSE issued notices on October 7, 2026, regarding examination forms for private candidates and a reminder on October 9, 2026, about submitting accurate List of Candidates (LOC) details for Classes 10 and 12.

Upcoming Announcements and Changes

While many boards have released their schedules, the Andhra Pradesh SSC dates are expected in November 2026, and the AP Intermediate schedule is still awaited. The Rajasthan Board is expected to hold two Class 10 exams from the 2026-27 academic year, with the first likely in February or March and the second in May or June. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) are also yet to release their official timetables for 2027.

Students are advised to regularly check the official websites of their respective education boards for the latest announcements and to verify dates before making final plans, as examination schedules can change.
