Key Dates and Examination Procedures

Beyond the main board examinations, the GSEB has outlined several other important dates for the 2026-27 academic year. Preliminary (prelim) exams for Classes 10 and 12 are scheduled from January 18 to January 28, 2027. School exams for board subjects will take place from February 1 to February 3, 2027, followed by Class 12 Science practical exams from February 5 to February 13, 2027. The first term exams for Classes 9 to 12 are currently underway, from October 22, 2026, to November 2, 2026.

The minimum passing marks for board examinations are 33% or a grade D. Each theory paper will have a duration of 3 hours and 15 minutes. Class 10 (SSC) exams are conducted in the morning session, from 10:00 am to 1:15 pm. Both preliminary and final board exams will be based on the full syllabus. The GSEB SSC hall ticket is expected to be released in February 2027 and will be accessible exclusively through school logins.

Post-Examination Schedule and Academic Calendar

Following the conclusion of the board examinations, the GSEB SSC Result 2027 is anticipated in May 2027, to be published on gseb.org. Students who do not pass one or more subjects will have the opportunity to appear for supplementary (Purak) exams, which are expected in June 2027.
