Preliminary exams for both streams will run for ten days in January 2027, followed by school-level exams for board subjects in early February.

Practical examinations for Class 12 Science stream students are scheduled for a nine-day period in February. Examination Timings and Passing Criteria

The GSEB SSC (Class 10) exams will be conducted in the morning session, from 10:00 am to 1:15 pm. For GSEB HSC (Class 12) examinations, the timings will vary and be taken in two sessions, depending on the specific subjects. Students must achieve a minimum score of 33% or a grade D to qualify in the examinations.

The total duration for most Class 10 theory papers is 3 hours, with the theory exam carrying 80 marks for most subjects. For Class 12 Science stream papers, the total marks are 100, comprising 50 objective questions worth 50 marks to be completed in 60 minutes, and descriptive questions to be answered in 2 hours 30 minutes. Supplementary examinations for GSEB SSC are anticipated in June – July 2027.

Admit Card Distribution and Discrepancy Reporting

Admit Cards for the 2027 examinations will be distributed by schools at least 10 days before the commencement of the examinations. The admit card must bear the signatures of the examinee, class teacher, and the Principal, along with the school stamp at the prescribed places. Examination instructions will be printed on the reverse side of the hall ticket.

Any discrepancies concerning subjects or other details printed on the admit card should be reported immediately to the GSEB office to ensure timely corrections. The official portal currently lists the Hall Ticket and Assessment Order 2026, along with GSOS Registration for SSC (Standard-10th).

The 2026 schedule for Class 10 and 12 examinations ran from February 26, 2026, to March 16, 2026, indicating a similar timeframe for the 2027 cycle.
