CENTAC NEET MDS 2026 round 2 allotment released on September 24

The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, released the Round 2 Provisional Allotment List for PG Dental (M.D.S.) courses for the academic year 2026-2027 on September 24, 2026. This allotment is part of the admission process based on NEET MDS 2026 scores for postgraduate dental programs in Puducherry.

The release of the provisional list follows a series of steps in the second round of counselling, which included the publication of a draft allotment list and the commencement of registration for eligible candidates. CENTAC, operating under the Government of Puducherry Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, manages admissions for various courses, including UG NEET-based, UG Non-NEET, B.Tech. Lateral Entry, B.Arch., and Fine Arts programs.

ROUND 2 Counselling Timeline

The second round of counselling for PG Dental (M.D.S.) courses commenced with the release of Round 1 vacancies and the admitted list on September 16, 2026. Following this, registration, submission of course preferences, and the option to resign from Round 1 admitted seats opened on the same day.

The list of candidates eligible for Round 2 counselling was published on September 22, 2026, leading to the release of the Round 2 Draft Allotment List on September 23, 2026, and later the provisional list on September 24, 2026.

Overview of THE ADMISSION Process

The admission cycle for PG Dental (M.D.S.) courses for 2026-2027 began with the release of the admission notification on July 1, 2026. The PG Dental (M.D.S.) Seat Matrix was published on July 23, 2026. Fresh applications opened on August 4, 2026, following an extension of the application submission deadline on July 10, 2026.

A total of 190 completed applications were received for PG Dental courses. The Draft Merit List was released on August 18, 2026, which was then revised and published on August 24, 2026. The Final Merit List and the commencement of Round 1 course preference submission took place on September 4, 2026. The Round 1 Draft Allotment List was released on September 6, 2026, followed by the Round 1 Provisional Allotment List on September 7, 2026.

Fee Structure and Support

The fee structure for medical (PG/UG), dental (UG/PG), nursing (degree/diploma), and other allied and healthcare courses in un-aided private professional educational institutions in Puducherry for the academic year 2026-27 was released on August 28, 2026. Specific fee structures for MDS courses at Mahe Institute of Dental Sciences (MINDS) and Mahatma Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences (MGPGIDS) were also published on September 3, 2026, and September 5, 2026, respectively.
