Written Examination Details and Schedule

The admit card for the KSP Constable written exam was released on July 28, 2026. The written examination will be conducted in offline mode using OMR-based answer sheets. The exam will consist of 100 questions for a total of 100 marks, with a duration of 90 minutes. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer, and candidates need to secure 30 marks (30%) to qualify.

The written examination for Civil Police Constable- RPC (Residual Parent Cadre) will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on August 2, 2026. For Civil Police Constable- KK (Kalyana Karnataka Cadre), the exam will be from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM on the same date. Candidates must carry a printed copy of their hall ticket and an original photo identity proof to the examination centre.

Eligibility and Recruitment Process

Only candidates who qualified the Mandatory Kannada Language Test, which was held on July 19, 2026, are eligible to appear for the written examination. The recruitment drive seeks to fill 3,991 Civil Police Constable posts, comprising 3,395 vacancies under the Residual Parent Cadre and 596 vacancies under the Kalyana Karnataka Cadre.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Endurance Test (ET) in a 1:2 ratio based on their performance in the written examination. The physical standards require General Male & Ex-Servicemen candidates to have a minimum height of 168 cm and a chest measurement of 86 cm with a 5 cm expansion. Female & Third Gender candidates require a minimum height of 157 cm and a minimum weight of 45 kg. For males from tribal areas, the minimum height is 155 cm, and for females from tribal areas, it is 150 cm.

The last date for submitting applications was extended to July 8, 2026. An application correction window was provided from July 10 to July 13, 2026. The Karnataka Civil Police Constable Result 2026 was released on August 15, 2026, followed by the provisional result for the Civil Police Constable on August 17, 2026. It is noted that the KSP Constable City Intimation Slip 2026 was released on September 14, 2026, for KSRP, KSISF, and IRB Police Constable recruitment, with the KSRP Hall Ticket 2026 released on September 15, 2026, for their written exam scheduled on September 20, 2026.
