CSJMU Programmer recruitment 2026: apply by 31 October for 1 vacancy

Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur, has released a recruitment notification for the post of Programmer for the year 2026. Online applications for this position commenced on 26 September 2026, and the deadline for submission is 31 October 2026. Candidates are also required to ensure that the hard copy of their application form reaches the university by the same date.

Eligibility and Application Process for Programmer Post

Candidates applying for the Programmer position must hold a B.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science or a related subject, or an equivalent higher qualification. Alternatively, an M.C.A./M.Sc. in Computer Science or a related subject, or a Second Class Bachelor degree combined with a ‘B’ level Course Certificate from DOE, is also acceptable. A minimum of two years of experience in software development is required for all applicants.

The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS candidates is Rs. 2,000, while SC and ST candidates are required to pay Rs. 1,500. The salary for the Programmer position will be as per U.P. State Government norms. The selection process involves an assessment of the basic academic score, followed by a proficiency test, and a final interview.

Previous Recruitment Drives at CSJMU

Earlier in 2026, CSJMU conducted other recruitment drives for various positions. The university invited online applications for 54 regular faculty positions, including Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. The online application deadline for these faculty posts was 23 February 2026, with the hard copy submission deadline set for 28 February 2026. The eligibility criteria for these teaching positions were aligned with UGC Regulations-2018, AICTE-2019, and U.P. State Government rules.

The application fee for the faculty positions was ₹2,500 for UR/OBC candidates and ₹2,000 for SC/ST candidates. This recruitment for 54 teaching faculty posts, under the Self-Finance Scheme (Advertisement No.: CSJMU/Gen.Admin./SFS-01/2021), commenced on 14 January 2026. Also, another recruitment for Professor and other posts had online applications accepted from 26 September 2026 to 31 October 2026, mirroring the current Programmer application window.
