DAV recruitment 2027-28 registration begins: apply by October 8 for teacher posts

The DAV College Managing Committee (DAVCMC) has commenced its staff recruitment process for the 2027-28 academic session, seeking to recruit teachers for DAV schools nationwide. The application window for the Computer Based Test (CBT) registration opened on September 16, 2026, and will close on October 8, 2026.

This recruitment drive, spanning from September to December 2026, involves a multi-phase process including online registration, document verification, a CBT exam, and subsequent demo-interview rounds conducted by individual schools. Aspirants are advised to monitor national and regional newspapers for vacancy advertisements, which will be published between September 16 and 22, 2026.

Application AND Verification Process

Candidates interested in applying for teacher positions must complete the online CBT Registration form between September 16 and October 8, 2026, using their registered mobile number and a personal email ID. Duplicate applications will not be accepted, and each candidate is permitted to apply for only one post. Following online registration, applicants must visit a DAV Verification Centre between September 25 and October 16, 2026, for the verification of their testimonials. During this period, the application form remains editable until its status changes to ‘FORM READY FOR VERIFICATION’ and subsequently ‘VERIFIED AND APPROVED FOR PAYMENT’.

Upon successful verification and approval, candidates are required to pay a CBT fee of Rs. 300/- online. This payment must be completed within seven days of receiving approval. The DAV Staff Recruitment portal, davrecruit.davcmc.in, serves as the official platform for registration and related updates.

CBT Examination Details AND Timeline

The Computer Based Test (CBT) is scheduled to take place in December 2026 across various centres in India. Admit cards for the examination will be issued in November 2026. The results of the CBT will be announced within 15-20 days after the last test is conducted, with qualified candidates able to download their Provisional Eligibility Card (PEC).

The CBT exam has a duration of 1.5 hours (90 minutes) and comprises two papers, both conducted on the same day and slot. Paper 1, focusing on Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning, is 20 minutes long and contains 15 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in English medium. Paper 2, the Main Subject paper, is 70 minutes long with 40 MCQs, also in English medium, except for regional languages, Hindi, and Sanskrit. There will be no negative marking in the CBT. the CBT exam pattern provided is from the previous year, and the pattern for the 2027-28 session may change, with notifications expected in November 2026.

Examination Day Guidelines

Candidates appearing for the Computer Based Test (CBT) must bring specific mandatory documents to the examination centre. These include a print or hard copy of their Admit Card, one recent coloured passport-size photograph, and an original government-issued photo identity proof. Acceptable forms of photo identification include a PAN card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, or Aadhar Card/E-Aadhar, provided they display the candidate’s name and photograph matching those on the Admit Card.

Several items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. These include any stationery items such as textual material, bits of paper, calculators, pen drives, log tables, or electronic pens. Communication devices like smartwatches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, and cameras are also forbidden. Other prohibited items include wallets, goggles, handbags, and pouches. Eatable items, whether opened or packed, are generally not allowed, with an exception made for diabetic candidates.
