A circular dated September 5, signed by Additional Director of Education Vikas Kalia, officially announced the holiday for all government-aided and unaided recognised private schools. This directive was issued by the Directorate of Education, Delhi, ensuring clarity for educational institutions well in advance of the summit. Offices operating under the Directorate of Education will also observe the holiday on September 11, 2026.

The General Administration Department of the Delhi government had previously issued a notification regarding this holiday on September 3, 2026.
