DMS IIT Delhi MBA 2027 application opens November 30, apply by January 25

The Department of Management Studies (DMS) at IIT Delhi has released the admission schedule for its Master of Business Administration (MBA) 2027 session. Prospective candidates can begin submitting their online applications from November 30, 2026, with the application window closing on January 25, 2027.

This announcement outlines the key dates and eligibility criteria for the upcoming academic year, providing clarity for aspirants seeking admission to the institution’s MBA programme, which was ranked #4 by NIRF Rankings 2025.

Application Timeline and Key Dates

The online application process for the MBA 2027 session is set to commence on November 30, 2026. Candidates will have approximately two months to complete and submit their forms, as the last date for submission is January 25, 2027. The declaration of admission results is tentatively scheduled for the first week of May 2027.

While the dates for personal interviews and subsequent registration and orientation for new students are yet to be updated, the initial application window provides a clear timeline for prospective students. The MBA Admission Application processing fee is non-refundable.

Eligibility Criteria and Required Qualifications

To be eligible for the MBA programme at DMS IIT Delhi, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of three years of education after 10+2. A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or a 6.00 CGPA on a 10-point scale in the qualifying degree is required. A relaxation of 5% in marks (minimum 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (minimum 5.50) is provided for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Candidates appearing for the final year of their bachelor’s degree are also permitted to apply provisionally. A mandatory requirement for all applicants is to have qualified the CAT 2025 exam. The shortlisting for Personal Interview is based on a composite index that considers CAT score, academic performance, gender diversity, IIT/NIT/SRCC graduate status, and work experience. The final merit list combines the CAT score, PI performance, and the candidate’s profile.

Programme Structure and Fees

The MBA programme at DMS IIT Delhi offers specializations in Information Systems, Finance, Marketing, Strategic Management, and Operations Management. The total tuition fees for Indian citizens for the entire MBA Full Time Programme is Rs. 12.00 lakhs, payable in four equal installments over four semesters.

For the 2025-2027 batch, General/OBC/EWS candidates incurred tuition fees of Rs. 3,00,000/- per semester, along with other charges of Rs. 22,400/- and an Institute Residence Fee of Rs. 8,600/-. SC/ST/PwD candidates in the same batch were subject to other charges of Rs. 22,400/- and an Institute Residence Fee of Rs. 8,600/-, with tuition fee exemptions as per government norms. The application fee for one programme is Rs. 1,600, and for two programmes, it is Rs. 3,200.

Placement Record and Diversity

DMS IIT Delhi has maintained a consistent record of 100% placements. The IIT Delhi MBA Placements 2024 saw a highest package of Rs. 40.50 LPA, with the average package recorded at Rs. 23.40 LPA. The median salary for the same year was Rs. 22.05 LPA. The institution actively values diversity, with the 2025 batch including 33% non-engineering students and 57% female students.
