GGV CUET UG 2026 counselling: spot admissions for various courses on September 29

Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV) has scheduled special offline counselling and spot admissions for various undergraduate programmes on September 29, 2026. This follows the initial rounds of admissions for the academic session 2026–27, which began with the release of the first round merit list and cut-off marks for the B.Sc. in Rural Technology program on August 03, 2026, on the official portal ggu.ac.in.

The university, a central institution in Chhattisgarh, conducts admissions to its undergraduate courses through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2026. Classes for the current academic session commenced on September 01, 2026, with subsequent counselling rounds addressing remaining vacant seats.

Ongoing Spot Counselling and Vacancy Updates

As of September 25, 2026, GGV has announced several special offline counselling sessions for various courses. Spot counselling for B.Sc. Computer Science, BCA, and B.Sc. Chemistry (vacant seats) is scheduled for September 29, 2026. Also, third-round offline admission for the ITEP- B.A. B.Ed. (Secondary Level) programme was conducted on September 24, 2026.

Notices regarding spot counselling for B.Sc. Biotechnology were issued on September 24, 2026, and September 23, 2026, including a revised notice for B.Sc. Forensic Science under the Self Finance Scheme. The university also released CUET UG vacancy data as on September 24, 2026, for the counselling scheduled on September 29, 2026, along with counselling guidelines on September 23, 2026. An office memorandum for an increase in seats for B.Sc. Forensic Science under the Self Finance Scheme for the 2026-27 session was issued on September 18, 2026.

Initial Admission Process and Key Dates

The initial admission process for GGV undergraduate programmes through CUET UG 2026 involved online registration, merit list declarations, and fee submissions. The CUET Result 2026 was declared on June 23, 2026. Online registration for admission and counselling via the Samarth Portal took place from July 10, 2026, to July 27, 2026. The first round of merit lists and cut-off marks were declared on August 03, 2026.

Candidates whose names appeared in the first round merit list were required to submit their admission fees online between August 04 and August 06, 2026. The second round merit list was declared on August 10, 2026, with online fee submission from August 11 to August 13, 2026. Physical reporting and document verification for candidates from both rounds were completed by August 21, 2026. Failure to deposit the fee within the specified window resulted in the cancellation of provisional allotment.

Document Verification Requirements and Subsequent Rounds

For physical reporting and document verification at the GGV Bilaspur campus, candidates were required to bring original copies along with self-attested photocopies of their Class 10 and 12 marksheets, CUET scorecards, category certificates, transfer certificates (TC), and character certificates. The declaration of vacancies after physical verification and merit list for further admission was on August 25, 2026, with offline counselling, if required, on August 31, 2026.

If seats remain vacant after the completion of initial rounds and document verification, the university declares seat vacancies and announces subsequent counselling rounds or spot admissions. The cutoff marks for GGV vary each year based on factors such as the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, and available seats in various undergraduate programs. The cutoff is category-wise, with different cutoffs for General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD candidates, ensuring adherence to reservation policies.
