1. Regular Teaching Posts (2,668 Vacancies)

The state government has forwarded official requests for 2,668 regular teaching posts across 19 different subject categories to the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA) in Hamirpur. • English Teachers: 400 Posts

Current Status: The state has already moved swiftly on this front. A total of 292 English teachers and 284 Mathematics teachers have already completed their joining formalities and started teaching. The remaining slots will be filled shortly.

Why Himachal Pradesh is Upgrading to CBSE Schools

The state’s shift toward CBSE-affiliated public schools has caused a noticeable rise in student enrollments. The government has already granted administrative approval to transform 158 government schools into high-quality institutions, with 146 schools successfully securing their official CBSE affiliation so far.

To complement this recruitment drive and support teachers in delivering modern education, the state is investing heavily in classroom technology:

  • Digital Connectivity: BSNL has finalized networking tenders for 777 government schools to guarantee high-speed internet.

  • Hardware Upgrades: For the first time, old computer setups are being fully replaced in 524 schools.

  • Student Support: Under the Dr. Y.S. Parmar Vidyarthi Rin Yojana, 9,359 students received educational tablets over the past three academic sessions.
