The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched an Online Project Management System (OPMS) for the submission of project reports, dissertations, internship reports, fieldwork reports, and practicum work for the Term-End Examination (TEE) December 2026. This new online facility aims to speed up the submission process for learners enrolled in IGNOU’s Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes.

The online submission portal is now active, and the final deadline for submitting these reports, along with the associated fees, is November 30, 2026. Learners are required to access the OPMS through their IGNOU Samarth accounts to complete the submission process.

Online Submission Process and Requirements

Learners eligible for the December 2026 TEE must submit their project reports and other prescribed assignments exclusively through the newly launched OPMS portal. Reports sent via email will not be accepted for evaluation. For those who have already submitted hard copies of their reports to their respective Regional Centres or the Student Evaluation Division (SED) at the university headquarters in New Delhi, re-uploading soft copies through the OPMS portal is not necessary.

The university has outlined specific requirements for online submissions. The proposal Proforma, along with the ‘Synopsis’ and Bio-data of the Project Guide, must be duly approved in original. An originality certificate, signed by both the student and the Project Guide with the date, is also required where applicable. Scanned pages for online submission must be clear, well-lighted, in correct sequence, and have consistent orientation. Learners must obtain approval from their Guide or Supervisor in the prescribed proforma before submitting the project online. The entire Project Report must be scanned into a single PDF file for each subject or course. The first page of this PDF file must contain the learner’s correct particulars, including the Title of the Project Report, Name of the Learner, Programme Code, Enrolment Number, Regional Centre Code, Course Code(s), Mobile Number, and E-mail ID. Incomplete submissions will not be considered for evaluation and will be removed from the portal after the deadline.

Project Evaluation Fees and Payment

A project evaluation fee is applicable for submissions, with the structure implemented from the January 2023 Admission cycle. This fee must be submitted by students along with their Term-End Examination form. A copy of the fee receipt is mandatory and must be submitted with the Project Report. Failure to pay the project fee along with the TEE form will result in the Project Report not being considered for evaluation. The last date for submission of the Project/Internship/Practical Course fee is also November 30, 2026, with no fees accepted after this deadline.

Learners are advised to submit the prescribed fee only through their respective IGNOU Samarth Portal login accounts. The viva-voce for Project Reports and Internship Reports will be conducted under specific guidelines by the concerned Faculties at the Regional Centres.
