IISWBM MBA admissions 2027-29 open: apply for day and HRM programs

The Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM) has announced the opening of admissions for its Master of Business Administration (MBA) Day and MBA in Human Resource Management (MBA-HRM) programs for the 2027-2029 academic batch. Prospective students can now obtain application forms and brochures for these full-time postgraduate management courses.

IISWBM, established on April 25, 1953, is recognised as India’s first business school. The institution’s Board of Governors is presided over by Dr. Swapan Dasgupta, the Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Government of West Bengal.

Application Process and Fee

Candidates interested in the MBA (Day) and MBA-HRM (2027-2029) programs can acquire application forms and admission brochures directly from the reception counter at IISWBM, located at Management House, College Square West, Kolkata – 700 073. The application form can be purchased by paying a fee of Rs 1,500 in cash at the institute.

Alternatively, applicants have the option to print out the application form from the IISWBM official portal and apply online. For forms purchased in cash, filled forms can be submitted either by dropping them at the designated IISWBM drop box or by couriering them to the institute’s address. For printed forms, the payment can be made in cash at IISWBM upon submission of the completed form. Online payment options, including NEFT, Debit Card, and Credit Card, are also available.

Document Submission and Verification

Applicants are required to submit photocopies of all applicable documents along with their completed application form. It is mandatory for candidates to courier a copy of the completed application form, the payment slip, and all relevant documents to IISWBM, Management House, College Square West, Kolkata – 700 073.

Original documents will be necessary for verification purposes during the subsequent stages of the admission process, specifically the Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates are advised to keep their original documents ready for these stages.

Other Ongoing Programs and Recent Activities

Besides the MBA and MBA-HRM admissions for 2027-2029, IISWBM has ongoing admissions for other programs. These include the 9th Batch Certificate Course on Sustainable Environment Management (September 2026), various Courses of AEE (USA) (2026), and a program on ‘A Data Driven Approach on ESG and Sustainability..’ (2026).

The institution has also recently concluded key academic events. The selected lists for PhD (2026) and MBA (Eve) (2026-2028) programs are currently available. In addition, the inaugural program for the 24th Batch of the Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management course for the Academic Session 2026-2027 has taken place. The inauguration program for the MBA (Day) (2026-2028) batch has also been conducted.
