The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), operating under Tribhuvan Sahkari University (TSU), has announced the opening of admissions for its MBA in Development Management and Cooperation program for the 2027-29 academic batch. Prospective candidates can submit their applications online through the official admissions portal at tsu.ac.in, with the final deadline for submissions set for December 24, 2026.

This program, formerly known as the PGDM (Rural Management), aims to prepare professionals for management roles within rural organizations. The selection process for Indian Nationals includes a significant weightage for entrance exam scores, personal interviews, and academic performance, alongside various diversity factors.
Eligibility and Application Process
To be eligible for the MBA in Development Management and Cooperation program, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks. A 5% relaxation in this requirement is extended to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. Students who are currently in their final year of graduation and awaiting their results are also eligible to apply. Generally, candidates are required to possess a valid scorecard from either the CAT, XAT, or CMAT entrance examinations.
The application fee varies by category. General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates are required to pay Rs 2,200. For SC, ST, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, the fee is Rs 1,100. Candidates from Below Poverty Line (BPL) households are exempt from the application fee upon uploading a valid BPL certificate. The approximate program fee for the MBA is ₹16.44 lakh.

Selection Procedure and Key Dates
The selection process for Indian Nationals is structured into three stages: shortlisting based on entrance exam scores, the TSU Written Ability Test (TSUWAT), and a personal interview. Shortlisted applicants will participate in the TSUWAT and personal interviews from February 22 to 28, 2027, which will be conducted at the Anand campus. Required documents include Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, graduation mark sheets and degree certificate, a valid entrance exam scorecard, and relevant category certificates. There is no management quota for admission to the MBA program at IRMA.
For NRI candidates, the final selection is based on GMAT (taken on or after January 2020), CAT 2024, CMAT 2024, or XAT 2025 scores, combined with an Online Personal Interview (OPI) score. The OPI for NRI candidates is scheduled for the first week of March 2025. Up to 5% of the approved intake is allocated for NRI students, as per AICTE rules. The total number of seats approved by AICTE for the PGDM(RM) 2025-2027 batch was 240.
