JSS University MBBS 2026 physical reporting guidelines released: complete formalities by 12 noon deadline

JSS University has released detailed physical reporting guidelines for candidates who have been allotted MBBS seats for the 2026 admission cycle through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) online counseling. The guidelines, issued today, 29 September 2026, outline the mandatory steps for completing admission formalities for undergraduate medical courses.

The process mandates online tuition fee payment, scanning and uploading of original documents, submission of an online application, followed by physical reporting at the JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER) campus in Mysuru. This procedure applies to candidates allotted seats in Round 1, 2, 3, and the Stray Vacancy round of MCC counseling.

Admission Process and Fee Payment

The admission process begins with candidates paying the full tuition fee through digital modes such as RTGS or NEFT to the designated JSS AHER account. Proof of this remittance, or an acknowledgment, must be scanned and prepared for uploading during the online application submission on the JSS AHER portal. For All India Merit (Management) category candidates, tuition fee payment must originate solely from the parents’ (Father/Mother or Both) account, though multiple transactions from these specified accounts are accepted.

NRI and NRI sponsored quota seat candidates are required to pay the prescribed tuition fee exclusively in US Dollars ($) from the sponsor’s account, and they must provide proof of this transaction during reporting. The security deposit of Rs. 2,00,000, initially paid to DGHS/MCC, will be refunded by DGHS/MCC to eligible candidates upon successful completion of admission formalities.

Document Verification and Reporting Schedule

Candidates are mandated to scan all original documents listed in the official notification individually for uploading. Photocopies are not accepted for online submission. Following the online application, physical reporting is required at JSS AHER, Mysuru, in accordance with the MCC reporting scheme. During physical reporting, all original documents that were uploaded must be presented for verification by a designated Nodal Officer. Any discrepancies identified during this verification will lead to the Nodal Officer contacting the candidate for clarification.

Also, candidates must submit all original documents along with three sets of photocopies during physical reporting. Failure to resolve discrepancies found during original document verification will result in JSS AHER not processing admission and reporting formalities. Upon successful completion of all steps, the admission and reporting details will be uploaded to the MCC web portal by the JSS AHER Nodal Officer, and an allotment letter will be generated and issued.

Refund Policy and Important Considerations

The guidelines also detail the fee refund policy based on the timing of seat resignation. A deduction of Rs. 10,000 will apply if a seat is re-allocated during MCC Round 2 or 3 counseling, provided MCC allows it. If a candidate resigns during the counseling period and within the MCC withdrawal schedule, a 10% deduction on the first-year fee will be made. However, if a candidate resigns after the counseling period or the last date of admission, the entire course fees must be paid. The reimbursement period for eligible refunds is set at four working days.

Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements as stipulated in the NEET UG (MBBS) Information Brochure – 2026, and by MCC of DGHS and the National Medical Commission. JSS AHER and JSS Medical College explicitly state that they do not engage any agents or middlemen for admissions, and applicants are cautioned against fraudulent agencies promising seats for monetary considerations. Any false information provided will lead to the cancellation of admission. JSS Medical College, established in 1984-85, is recognized by the Medical Council of India and became a constituent college of JSS AHER in 2008.
