NIPS M.Pharm Industrial Pharmacy: Apply by July for 2026 admissions

Admissions for the Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) program in Industrial Pharmacy at Narasaraopeta Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (NIPS) in Narasaraopet, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, are open for the 2026 academic year. The institute, established in 2007, aims to prepare students for the pharmaceutical industry and contribute to pharmaceutical research.

NIPS is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK). The college is owned and managed by the Gayatri Educational Development Society (GEDS).

Regarding placements, NIPS reported placing over 20 students in 2021. The highest package offered during NIPS placements in 2021 was INR 10 lakhs per annum, with an average package of INR 3 lakhs per annum. Top companies that recruit from NIPS include Pharma Lab, Reddy Lab, Lal Path Lab, TCS, Infosys, L&T, and Wipro.

M.Pharm Landscape in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh features over 20 M.Pharm colleges with NAAC and PCI approvals. The fee range for M.Pharm programs in the state typically falls between ₹60,000 and ₹2.5 lakh for a two-year duration. Colleges are generally ranked based on factors such as NAAC/PCI accreditation, research output, average placement packages, industry collaborations, fee-to-value ratio, and student feedback collected over 2024–25.

Guntur is identified as a pharmaceutical manufacturing hub in Andhra Pradesh, with over 200 pharma companies in its vicinity. Other notable institutions offering M.Pharm programs in the state include Koneru Lakshmaiah (KL) College of Pharmacy, which offers specialisations like Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacognosy, and Industrial Pharmacy, and reports consistently placing over 80% of its M.Pharm graduates. Chalapathi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nalanda Pharmacy College, Bapatla College of Pharmacy, and Sri Sai Aditya Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research are also among the PCI-approved and affiliated institutions in the region.
