RGPV launches two-week online certification course on nanotechnology: check eligibility

The program, offered through RGPV’s School of Nanotechnology, is designed to provide foundational understanding and industry-relevant learning in the field.

The course aims to make foundational training in nanotechnology accessible to a broad audience, including students and working professionals, by covering fundamental concepts, modern applications, and skill enhancement in the rapidly expanding scientific domain.

Course Structure and Content

Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal, offers a two-week online certification course titled “Introduction to Nanotechnology” through its School of Nanotechnology. The course is structured into six modules, delivered entirely online in English. These modules include an Introduction, The Nano Scale, Nanomaterials, Working at Nanoscale, Synthesis and Characterisation of Nanomaterials, and Consolidation, if you look at RGPV.

The program features recorded lectures and flexible, self-paced weekly learning. Doubt-clearing sessions with the course faculty, including Dr. Purnima Swarup Khare, Director of the School of Nanotechnology at RGPV and course instructor, will also be provided. The curriculum aims to provide foundational understanding of matter, materials, and devices at the nanoscale, explaining concepts with real-world and industry-relevant examples.

Eligibility and Target Audience

The “Introduction to Nanotechnology” course is primarily designed for undergraduate (UG) level students, specifically graduating students of engineering, science, or allied disciplines. While no prior background in nanotechnology is required for enrollment, a basic understanding of Physics and Chemistry at the Class 12 (10+2) level is recommended for participants, as stated by RGPV.

The program also targets a broader audience, including students seeking foundational credit-linked certification, entrepreneurs, technology enthusiasts, startup candidates, and anyone aspiring to pursue a career in nanotechnology. Registration and Certification Details

The course fee for the “Introduction to Nanotechnology” program is ₹1,000, which is payable during the online registration process. Seats for the course are limited and will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Upon successful completion of the course, which includes an online quiz assessment, participants will receive a certificate from RGPV detailing their final percentage or grade marks. RGPV is a State Technological University in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, accredited A++.
