TG PGLCET 2026: Report to allotted colleges by August 8

Osmania University, acting on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), concluded the counselling process for the TG PGLCET 2026, which supports admissions to LLM courses across law colleges in Telangana for the academic year 2026-2027. The final phase of reporting to allotted colleges concluded on August 8, 2026.

The TG PGLCET, also known as TS PGLCET, is a state-level law entrance examination conducted annually. This year’s process saw candidates from various regions applying, with the examination and subsequent counselling stages now complete, leading to the finalisation of admissions.

Tg PGLCET 2026 Examination Overview

The TG PGLCET 2026 examination was conducted online as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) on May 18, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The official notification for the test was released on February 8, 2026, with registrations commencing on February 10, 2026. The last date for registration without a late fee was April 10, 2026. A form correction window was provided from May 3 to May 8, 2026, and admit cards were released on May 12, 2026.

The exam comprised 120 multiple-choice questions, with a total duration of 90 minutes. The minimum qualifying marks for TS PGLCET 2026 were 42 out of 120 (35%), though no minimum threshold was set for SC/ST candidates. The results were officially released on June 4, 2026. A score of 99 out of 120 was generally considered a good score for the examination.

Counselling Process and Key Dates

The counselling for TS PGLCET 2026 involved several stages, beginning with online registration and certificate upload from July 27 to July 31, 2026. Physical verification for special category certificates was conducted from July 29 to July 31, 2026. The verified eligible list was displayed on August 1, 2026, followed by the web options window from August 1 to August 2, 2026. Candidates had the opportunity to edit their web options on August 3, 2026.

Provisional seat allotment was announced on August 5, 2026. Following the allotment, candidates were required to report to their respective allotted colleges between August 5 and August 8, 2026, to complete their admission formalities. The counselling registration fee was ₹1,000 for General and OBC candidates, and ₹500 for SC/ST candidates.

Participating Colleges and Fee Structure

A total of 21 colleges in Telangana accept TS PGLCET exam scores for admission to their LLM programs. The examination fee for Open Category (OC) and Backward Category (BC) candidates was Rs. 1100/-, while for SC, ST, and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, it was Rs. 900/-. The syllabus for TS PGLCET 2026 was divided into Part A, covering Jurisprudence and Constitutional Law, and Part B, which included Public & Private International Law, Business & Corporate Laws, Labour Law, Crimes & Torts, and Other Allied Laws.
