UKSSSC Livestock Extension Officer admit card released: download before 18 October exam

Candidates can download their admit cards from the commission’s official website, sssc.uk.gov.in, for the examination scheduled on October 18, 2026.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 120 Group C posts in the Uttarakhand Animal Husbandry Department. The examination will be conducted in a single shift from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Admit cards are essential for entry and will not be dispatched via post or e-mail, requiring candidates to download them directly from the portal.

Examination Details and Selection Process

The written examination for the Livestock Extension Officer post will consist of a single objective-type paper comprising 100 questions for a total of 100 marks. The duration of the exam is two hours. A negative marking scheme will be applied, with 1/4 mark deducted for each incorrect answer. To qualify, UR/OBC candidates must secure 45% marks, while SC/ST candidates need 35%.

The selection process involves a written examination followed by document verification. In case of a tie in the merit list, older candidates will be given preference, followed by alphabetical order of names, and then preferential qualifications. Selected candidates will undergo a 12-month pre-appointment training period without salary, split between a Departmental Training Centre and Veterinary Hospitals.

The post is temporary and falls under Pay Matrix Level-6, with a salary range of Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400. Approximately 30,000-36,000 INR is the estimated in-hand salary per month. The recruitment also features a 30% horizontal reservation for women candidates from Uttarakhand.

Applicants were required to hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science, Agriculture, or Animal Husbandry. The age limit for applicants was between 21 and 42 years as on July 01, 2026. Age relaxations are applicable for various categories, including 5 years for Uttarakhand SC/ST/OBC candidates and 10 years for Divyang (PwBD) candidates.
