Law graduates who appeared for the examination on June 7, 2026, can now check their qualifying status and download their scorecards. 1.15 lakh candidates qualified the exam from the total pool of 1.75 lakh students who appeared for the exam. Qualified candidates are eligible to receive the mandatory Certificate of Practice (CoP) for practicing law in India. Students dissatisfied with their result can apply for AIBE XXI rechecking process for a fees of Rs. 200.

AIBE XXI Result 2026: Statistics and Qualifying Marks

The AIBE XXI examination saw quite a few candidates appearing, with a majority successfully qualifying. The Bar Council of India (BCI) has also specified revised qualifying marks for different categories.

The AIBE XXI examination was conducted in 292 centres across 60 cities nationwide. Candidates must meet the revised qualifying marks of 42% (42 out of 100) for the General category and 37% (37 out of 100) for SC/ST/PwD categories to pass the examination.

How to Check AIBE XXI Result 2026?

Candidates can follow these steps to access and download their AIBE XXI scorecard from the official Bar Council of India website:

1. Go to the official website, allindiabarexamination.com.
2. Click on ‘Login’ option on the top right corner of the page.
3. You will be redirected to the login portal. Enter your User ID/Application Number/Roll Number and Password/Date of Birth.
4. If you have forgotten your password, use the “Forgot Password” option available on the login page.
5. After successful login, your AIBE XXI scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
6. Review all details carefully, then download and print the scorecard for future reference.

How to Apply for AIBE XXI Rechecking

Candidates who are dissatisfied with their AIBE XXI result can apply for rechecking between July 21 and July 28, 2026, by following these steps:

1. Visit the official AIBE website and log in using your registered ID and password.
2. Click on the “AIBE XXI Result Rechecking” link available on the homepage.
3. Fill out the rechecking application form with the required details carefully.
4. Pay the rechecking fee of ₹200 through UPI using the QR code provided on the portal.
5. Upload the UPI payment receipt in the prescribed format to complete your application.
6. Submit the form by July 28, 2026, and download the confirmation page for future reference.

Note: The Bar Council of India will accept rechecking requests only until July 28, 2026. Applications submitted without the ₹200 fee payment or valid payment receipt will not be considered.

AIBE 21 Qualifying Marks and Pass Percentage

The Bar Council of India revised the qualifying marks for AIBE 21. General category candidates are now required to secure 42% (42 out of 100) to pass the examination. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories, the revised qualifying marks stand at 37% (37 out of 100).

These revised cut-offs contribute to the overall qualification rate, which saw 1,15,805 candidates out of 1,75,701 successfully meeting the criteria to practice law in India.

AIBE XXI: What Happens Next?

Candidates who have successfully qualified the AIBE XXI examination are now eligible to receive the Certificate of Practice (CoP) from the Bar Council of India (BCI). The CoP is a mandatory document for practicing law in India.

The BCI expects digital verification of the CoP via the AIBESCOPE app to be available within 3-4 weeks after the result announcement. The physical Bar Council Certificate (CoP) is typically distributed by respective state bar councils within 3-5 months from the result declaration date. Qualified candidates should follow instructions from their State Bar Councils regarding the collection of their CoP.

Also, the last date for submission of the Enrolment Certificate for candidates who appeared in AIBE XIX and subsequent examinations is January 6, 2027. Candidates are advised to complete this process well in advance.
