The submission process is scheduled to begin on September 24, 2026, and will conclude on October 21, 2026, with all necessary procedures to be completed through the official website, cbse.gov.in.

This announcement is crucial for all students intending to appear for the CBSE Board Examination 2027, particularly those in Class 10 who will be taking the first board exam under the new two-board-examination system introduced from 2026. Candidates, parents, and teachers are advised to consult the official notice available on the CBSE website for detailed details.

LOC Submission Process and Key Dates

The online portal for submitting the List of Candidates for the CBSE Board Examination 2027 will become active on September 24, 2026. Schools are required to complete the submission process by October 21, 2026. This initial LOC is specifically for the First Board Examinations of Class 10, which are expected to be conducted during February-March 2027, and is compulsory for all Class 10 candidates.

A separate LOC submission window for the Second Board Examination for Class 10 will be made available after the first examination concludes. For Class 12 students, the Board Examination 2027 is also anticipated in February-March 2027. The CBSE has previously issued a notice on September 10, 2026, regarding the prior intimation for LOC submission for the 2026-27 academic year.

Required Details and Eligibility Criteria

Schools must provide specific details for both Class 10 and Class 12 candidates during the LOC submission. These include the candidate’s full name, date of birth, gender, category, and the full names of parents or guardians, ensuring correct spellings. Also, schools are in charge of completing subject-wise registration and uploading each candidate’s photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

The eligibility criteria for LOC 2026-2027 stipulate that candidates must be regular and bona fide students of the sponsoring school. They must not be from unauthorized or unaffiliated schools, nor should they be registered with any other School Education Board on top of CBSE. Students are also required to regularly attend classes and fulfill minimum attendance norms as per the Examination Bye-laws. For Class 12 students, it is mandatory to confirm that they passed their Class 10 examination from a recognised School Education Board on or before the academic year 2025.

Post-Submission Policies and Important Advisories

The CBSE has stated that after the LOC submission deadline, no requests for changes in subject, admission in Classes 10 and 12 (except for transfer cases), or concessions for Children With Special Needs (CWSN) will be considered by the Board. A separate link for the submission of online forms for Private candidates and Second Chance Compartment candidates will be released at a later date.

The CBSE has also issued advisories cautioning against misleading information circulating on social media regarding examination dates and procedures. Candidates are urged to rely solely on the official website, cbse.gov.in, for accurate and verified information. The CBSE Date Sheet 2027 for Class 10 and Class 12 has not yet been released. For Class 12 students in West Asian countries, LOC submission for a special examination began on September 22, 2026.
