CBSE LOC form 2026-27 for Class 10, 12 out: submit by October 30

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) commenced the submission process for the List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 10 and Class 12 Main Examinations for the 2026-27 academic year today, September 24, 2026. This crucial procedure, which allows schools to provide student examination details to the board, will remain open until October 30, 2026.

The LOC is an official document informing CBSE about students’ selected subjects and their study status (regular or private candidate). It is mandatory for all first-time students appearing for the Class 10 or Class 12 board exams, as a student’s name will not be entered on the admit card unless it is included in the LOC.

LOC Submission Process and Deadlines

CBSE-affiliated schools are responsible for completing and submitting the LOC through the Pariksha Sangam portal. Students do not submit the LOC directly but are required to verify their information when provided by the school. The portal is accessible exclusively via a school login.

The submission window for the Class 12 main exam and Class 10 first exam opened on September 24, 2026. The LOC for the Class 10 second exam will open later, near the second exam in March 2027, for a five-day period. All payments related to the LOC are made online on the Pariksha Sangam portal.

Examination Fees and Late Fee Structure

The CBSE LOC fee is collected from students by their respective schools and later paid to the board during the LOC submission. CBSE does not directly receive fees from regular students. The examination fee for five subjects is Rs 1600 per candidate, with an additional Rs 320 for each extra subject. These fees are applicable for submissions made between September 24 and October 21, 2026.

A late fee of Rs 2000 per candidate, in addition to the regular fee, will be levied for LOC submissions made between October 22 and October 30, 2026. For Class 12 students, a practical examination fee of Rs 160 per practical subject per candidate is also applicable. Students with visual impairment are exempt from paying the examination fee for both Class 10 and Class 12.

Correction Facility and Finality of Data

A correction window for the submitted LOC details will be available from November 2 to November 4, 2026. During this period, schools can amend student information. However, no changes to a student’s name, date of birth, or subjects will be possible after the correction period concludes. The system for both submission and correction closes at 11:59:59 PM on the respective last dates.

The LOC sheet contains critical student information, including names, roll numbers, subject combinations, and category. Students who did not upload a photo during their Class 9 or Class 11 registration can still do so before the final LOC submission. Students are advised to refer to the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in, and confirm with their schools for any updates regarding the LOC dates for 2026-27.
