This extension provides candidates an additional week to complete the online application process, which was previously set to close on October 31, 2026. The examination date for CLAT 2027 remains unchanged, scheduled for December 6, 2026, from 2 PM to 4 PM, at designated centres across the country.
Revised Application Timeline and Fees
The Consortium of NLUs announced the extension to allow more time for prospective candidates to apply. The online enrolment for CLAT 2027 commenced on August 3, 2026, following the official notification released on July 22, 2026. Candidates must ensure their application forms are duly filled and the prescribed examination fee is paid before the new deadline.
The application fee structure remains consistent. General, OBC, NRI, PIO, and OCI candidates are required to pay ₹4,000, while SC, ST, and BPL candidates have a fee of ₹3,500. An optional additional fee of ₹500 applies for previous years’ question papers. This fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable.
