Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has announced a final opportunity for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students to complete their pending degrees. This initiative, offered under Ordinances 10, 11, and 25, provides a last chance for students who have exhausted their regular examination opportunities to appear for their remaining papers.

The application window for these additional final opportunity examinations closes on November 6, 2026. This measure is distinct from the ongoing admission and counselling processes for new students, including the IPU CET 2026 cycle.
Eligibility and Application Process
This final examination opportunity is exclusively for students whose prescribed examination opportunities have all expired by June 2026. Students who still possess regular exam opportunities are not eligible for this one-time benefit. The university has specified that these additional examinations will be conducted solely in offline mode.
Applicants are required to submit a detailed application, which must involve a detailed list of the papers they intend to appear in. The application must also bear the signature of the concerned dean, director, or principal of their respective institution. This ensures proper verification and approval before submission to the university.
Examination Schedule and Fees
The examinations for odd semesters under this special provision are slated to take place in December 2026 and January 2027. After that, the even-semester examinations will be conducted in May and June 2027. Students must adhere to these timelines for their preparation and appearance.
A continuation fee of Rs 25,000 is mandatory for all applicants seeking to avail themselves of this final opportunity. Also, a re-appearing fee of Rs 1,200 is required for each subject a student wishes to take. Both fees must be deposited separately, as per university guidelines.
| Fee Type | Amount |
|---|---|
| Continuation Fee | Rs 25,000 |
| Re-appearing Fee (per subject) | Rs 1,200 |
Context of University Admissions
This initiative for pending degrees operates independently of GGSIPU’s ongoing admission processes for the 2026-27 academic session. The IPU CET 2026 examination cycle concluded with results declared between May 3 and May 27, 2026. Counselling for IPU CET 2026 is currently in progress, with Round 1 seat allotment released on June 12, 2026, and Round 2 (Phase 2) on June 26, 2026. Document verification and admission fee payments for Phase 2 allottees were due by July 1–2, 2026.
It is noteworthy that GGSIPU has revised its admission criteria for certain B.Tech programs. Admissions for B.Tech (General Engineering, Code 131) no longer rely on IPU CET scores; instead, these seats are now filled through JEE Main and CUET (UG) scores. However, IPU CET 2026 remains applicable for B.Tech Biotechnology (Code 130) and B.Tech Lateral Entry programmes. The registration fee for IPU CET 2026 was INR 2,500, which was non-refundable.
